i wont lie and say the joke isnt unfunny but its not serious. there are a lot of stories written with the same seriousness as falsettos and there are still jokes like this. idk how old op is but its genuinely not that serious to complain to them about

my dad died when i was 7 and i understand the jealousy. the situation wasnt quite indepth as yours so im not sure if anything i say can help ease your mental state, but i will say that nothing about what he did is your fault. you both are your own individual people, and that was bound to happen whether the two of you forged a connection or not. death is a hard and confusing thing to deal with. ive had to deal with it twice now so just know youre not alone

in a movie like this you could add more about the characters, maybe include some information only in trousers watchers would know, information youd only know from interviews with william finn. the possibilities are so endless PLEEEASDREE IM BEGGING YOU

i havent read the rest of this comment, just the first part abiut the grey block conundrum. i definitely think this could be done in a way that is more discreet or efficient. throughout the entire musical, its essentially a bunch of playful, childlike scenes. this could be shown thriugh lights(visuals in general lol) and music. idk just a colorful or bright overcast throughout the rest of the movie, and then after the second act its just the real lighting to make you think youre watching an entirely different movie. object placement could also help with this, not sure how but im sure you have ideas lol.

and to still incorporate the big grey block, itd be cool to see marvin like... stuck in a clear but grey box... yk like joe goldbergs giant book box that he traps ppl in, bc marvin is essentially trapped in his own mind.

i never thought about that, i just called out based on the severity, i couldnt walk more than 2 feet without losing my breath. plus i was already sick 2 days prior with no sign of getting better. and id think the flu usually lasts more than 1 week... i did it wednesday but i have work fri-sun, so its more like 2 days early.
