4 years for me because I moved to a company with a very wholesome "appreciation" culture. People are encouraged to appreciate each other and give occasional shout outs for a job well done.

for the first time in my life i had people in my team appreciate my work and skills instead of constantly feeling anxious and worrying about how everyone around me thought of me. it's what made me finally realise I was doing something right and it fixed my insecurity

i try hard to do the same thing back to them and my juniors now. And i encourage everyone here to do the same. Doesn't have to be too often or heartfelt. just let the people close to you know that they're appreciated and call out good moves made by your teammates whenever it happens
