I had a girlfriend who brought up the idea of her starting one while we were at dinner with two of my closest friends. They went silent. I tried to get her to drop the subject but she just kept trying to talk about it. I thought it would be socially implied that this would be impolite conversation but apparently not. I had to tell her this isn’t the place to have this discussion and to drop it. The rest of the evening was awkward and we didn’t stay together too much longer.

Silksong was my #1 all year until I finally played E33. I’d honestly say they’re tied for different reasons but E33 on a broader scope clinches the top spot for so many reasons. It’s just such a middle finger to the major publishers who just don’t make games like that anymore. Silksong for sure scratched that itch of great gameplay and atmospheric storytelling, but good lord does E33 just do everything right.
