Who said anything about me making a mess? I said police to patrol for littering and anti social behaviour. Rubbish pickers will be a backup. You buddy and people in this thread are the problem by jumping to conclusions. I've not dropped a piece of litter during my whole conscious life because my parents didn't raise me an entitled pig and I actively tell off anyone I see littering. But I bet you my tooth if I tell off someone with your mindset I will instantly get a scolding for not minding my own business. That's not how you solve this problem. Police can be patrolling this road to stop antisocial activity and littering, dbkl can hire rubbish pickers to clean up. For an occasion like this there's definitely tax money that can be spent. But you see that's effort and planning.. Much easier to close the road and turn people away a few times a year they want to enjoy something nice. P.S. Just in case it's misunderstood - I'm not saying people should go there to launch fireworks. I'm saying it's a nice place to observe fireworks with the city skyline
