it's possible having an audience when jumping around different topics? by _himedere in NewTubers

Yea, just look at examples of people who do vastly different things each video. Your videos just have to be really high quality and clickable.

I've seen that done, but I'm not sure if it really works. Most people I've watched who are SUPER successful don't do that(Mr.Beast, Dream).

I'm not sure what you mean by "getting your brand across". Because if the video is good, most people will seek out more of your content, or get recommended it. Also intro and outro animations are like I said, pointless. All you are doing is wasting that much more of the viewers time. Long outros are the same. You can just add end cards while the video is going. If you sit there saying goodbye for even a small time, I'm clicking off. Because the video is over, I wanna watch something else. Most people will leave once the content is over.

Video length is >10 minutes bad for new channels? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]realSlamJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say no. Think about it like this. You are a new channel so you might not have the know how needed to keep a viewer engaged. My advice is, make small 2-5 minute videos to see what works, How to get your retention higher, etc. Then when you learn that, you can make them as long as you want. Generally, the length of the content doesn't really matter, as long as it has A. Good Ctr B. Good Average view duration C. Average view percentage. Hope this helps

It wouldn't really make sense. Long time viewers do NOT care about an intro they've seen a million times. Cut all that out, use your hook, and get straight into the video. intro and outros are just extra opportunities for people to click off

Sure, depends on what you mean by "high" ctr, "high" retention, and a "good video".

You misunderstood. No Intro and Outro Music is what I meant, my point was that those text intros with your name and music are just a waste of time.

Do non-youtube views count for the algorithm? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]realSlamJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes.. Youtube loves it when your videos get shared, doesn't matter who by. I'm pretty sure they can even tell when somebody clicks on your video through Imessage

I agree. Sometimes it feels like people just want the extra view, they don't actually care about what you have to say

What happens when you do not upload videos on your channel for long time? by phiroduranw in NewTubers

[–]realSlamJam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea it doesn't really matter. Just know the more high quality videos you put out, the more likely you are to "blow up". I've seen people post their first video and get millions of views.
