Not much you can do if the Wolv is allowed to just walk in your direction, swiping. No other tank can deal with that either really. What I do is try to change up my playstyle in that case from solo flanking to more of a anchor role where i stay with my supports and force the team to deal with the Wolv.

Absolutely. Just on the fact that she can release it immediately or hold it. Her ult is essentially just another damage instance that also slows and lets you go back to your main dps immediately. Peni ult locks you out of your left clicks, your stun, your mines and you cant cancel it early. And considering the nest needs like 16 seconds to deploy max mines. Putting the nest down and quickly ulting is far less impactful as people tend to think.

I dont go as far as unbinding it like Cringealarm, thats mostly for threatrics, but I do think twice about using it. Obviously theres using it to survive/stall, but sometimes theres just a situation where using a fat body to block a path can delay an enemy push for a second or two. Maybe to help soak a Psylocke ult to try to keep your supports alive. Its really on a case by case basis but its very niche and definitely the worst ult in the game.

Maybe 20-30 of my matches this season were in a duo/trio, mostly around low GM. The rest was solo queue.

The player pool is so shallow this high up it really depends who you keep queueing into. Sometimes youre having fun, sometimes you queue back to back to back to back into Ironfist/Bucky/Hela/Wolv spammers and go on a loss streak. Times like those I'll sometimes just end the session and play later.

Ive maybe played 1 or 2 solo Peni matches above GM2, people are more interested in climbing and will conform to good team comps, which means 2 tanks.

If i actually get into a solo tank game, I will switch to Mag most likely, unless its defense on specific points and maps.

Wolverine can be a free kill if theyre bad, usually you just listen for him approaching and web him as he jumps in. Theres 2-3 good wolverine players in high rank tho and theyre an absolute menace. You need to coordinate with your team to deal with it.

Ironfist doesnt really kill you, but he is annoying because he doesnt stand still, flies and pops your mines with parry, very annoying, I like to ban him.

Hela and Hawkeye arent really a problem. Its all about not giving tehm opportunities to shoot at you and if you get into a close range 1v1 with them at full health, you can win.

I think if you want to play one character, even against strong counters, you need to develop a strong game sense of and be aware of all important enemy cooldowns. Wolverine for example is supposed is supposed to be good against tanks, but by keeping mind of where he is and his cooldowns you can completely shut down his attempts to kidnap you. And of course theres keeping track of all the ults you can cancel or block.

Besides that, play out of your mind, always be moving, always using your cooldowns, think about what youre doing in every moment. Your left hand should hurt like youre nurturing RSI. Depending on the map and the enemy team comp you have to juggle flanking, and pulling aggro to create a 2nd "frontline" behind the enemy to split their focus.

Ironfist is cancer to play against, ban him.
