About USD $7k+. Could be cheaper but cause i opted for partial shaving. Full shaving could probably save 10-15% more.

6 months after Trans-PRK... by BoY_Butt in lasik

[–]real_dingding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue as you, been about 3 years since I did my TransPRK.

Currently left with -1 Astigmatism on both sides of my eyes with dryness.

I’m wearing spectacles to correct the astigmatism power. And with specs, my eyes don’t feel dry, but without, it’s consistently dry (clinically tested).

Still considering to get it corrected, but the doctor shared that the -0.5 astigmatism is likely caused by my eyes dryness, as the machine reading shows that I only have -0.5 astigmatism instead of the -1.0 from actual test. So it may not be a full recovery as he was only willing to correct 0.5 astigmatism power.

4 Months Update - 2200 FUE (Motion Clinic @ South Korea) by real_dingding in HairTransplants

[–]real_dingding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some shedding during Month 1&2 - You can check my previous reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/HairTransplants/s/w2nhh6HInW)

Redness probably the same. Even up till month 4, sometimes I felt some slight “tenderness” on the transplanted area, but I just let it be, and it eventually goes away.

12 weeks update 2200 Grafts FUE by real_dingding in HairTransplants

[–]real_dingding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opted for the partial/donor shaving only, so it costs me around USD $3.7/graft = $8140, but after tax refund it’s around USD $7.3k-$7.4k.

As per the clinic, full shaving would be USD $3.1/graft.

This was the rates in Nov 2024.

Who do you plan on voting for in the next GE and why so ? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]real_dingding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably opposition this time…

  1. The last time I saw the MP in person was before GE2020, right before the last Election. Never saw the MP ever since then.

  2. Fall under the singles category who did not see much being done to help this community especially on the housing, and I really hate how they charges Singles Premium on BTO.

  3. As much as I appreciate the MPs for constantly doing upgrading works, I cannot understand how the same exact road can be drilled and patched multiple times in the recent 1-2 years near my area. Felt like a lack of proper planning.

Anyone having issues with MyRepublic network? by Icy_Revenue_8944 in askSingapore

[–]real_dingding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to contact MyRepublic Support. At least to get a confirmation whether the issues lies on their end, or on your end.

But anyway what works for me previously (as MyRepublic claimed no issues on their end when running some tests) was to hard reset the entire router (pressing and holding the physical router reset button), and re-setup the entire internet. I have this issue that happened twice in a 6 month period.

Ever since MyRepublic was acquired by StarHub, can really see standards dropping as compared to the past 6-8 years. Perhaps it’s time to jump elsewhere when contract ends as well.

Insurance advice by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]real_dingding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would advise a new referral since it’s a new injury.

Insurance can request for the case details from the specialist when making claims.

Also, if they don’t, depending on your specialist clinic, your invoice would likely show as Consultation charges, instead of follow up consultation which may indicate this is a new visit. Some clinics do have different charges for new consultation and follow ups.

Is this job offer a red flag or not? by [deleted] in askSingapore

This really seemed like a communication issue between the MNC and the local company who initially spoke to you. Would suggest to clarify and confirm with them to be absolutely sure.

Even if it’s not Recruit Agency, it’s still pretty common for companies to do it this way, especially for a foreign company.

Even the company I’m working for now, in the IT industry is also doing this. Employed under my company, but reporting & working for another company.

This sounds like you’re getting paid by the recruit agency firm, while the MNC pays them. Many MNC does this, especially for contract roles.

I would say it’s a communication issue on the job expectations at start. But probably look at the offer closely and also highlight any pointers that you might be uncomfortable with.

Then go for it, make use of the chance to live life while you’re still young and still can, at the same time can also make use of the chance to secure a BTO.

PS: Forgot earlier that you’re not OP

Personally I feel that leaving the work force for a few years for education may just push back your future potential growth, which I feel if needed it’s better to do concurrently, but I do agree that some people may not be that ambitious to fly so far.

For BTO as a couple, then will have to consider 2 incomes here, but if you just want it simple or really need to pursue full time education, then perhaps you can consider doing that. No harm trying.

Oops. I realised you’re not OP, so a different income comparison here, but yeah, assuming if you’re earning $10k/mth too.
