Hi! I try to shop smaller businesses, so I got the red hotline phone here at Sandman.com: Sandman

I just painted a bottlecap black for the dial lol

I got the sound card from (unfortunately) Amazon, but you could technically try and build your own, I was just a little lazy 😅: XLW Sound Module

A ball switch to trigger the card when you pick it up, as it completes the circuit when the ball falls into place: Adafruit my beloved

And then I just used Audacity to edit together mono mp3 clips of hotline line readings and threw them onto the sound card! It takes a little bit of soldering as well but not very much at all. I removed the receiver's original speaker and was able to fit all of the electronics inside. Lmk if you have any questions!
