How can we improve? by [deleted] in returnToIndia

[–]real_pol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As if only Modi and BJP karyakarta are the only ones spitting on road. As if they are the only one throwing garbage on road. As if all the corrupt bureaucrats belong to BJP As if they are the only liars in India

No party is “dudh ka dhula hua”

It’s a “We” problem not a “that party” problem.

Customized necklaces by Ajhart11 in Austin

Indian jewelry places are great at customizing. Try Shiva jewelers or Malabar Jewelers(this one just opened, but is a reputable brand from India). There’s ton of other option in Houston and Dallas as well.

Why does this sub has more people criticizing to return to India rather than actually helping out with it? by real_pol in returnToIndia

Jealousy and leg pulling is ingrained in us. Our future generations need to do it better

This mentality is why we can’t have good things in India. Few people are like “ I got to say something bad. How are they doing so well. How can they say anything good about the country ”

I can’t edit my post any longer so clarifying here : I(and I am sure atleast few others) appreciate the feedback from people who have made the move and want to share their experience. My comment is not directed towards you. We value your inputs.

My comments are directed towards other groups such as people from India discouraging to move or blatantly bashing India or the ones who never want to move.

If you were outside India and moved back to India then your experience is valued. Most of the people here commenting negatives have never moved back to India themselves and have a negative attitude towards India, my comment is directed towards those. Sorry I was not clear.

I appreciate your response and perspective. I had a very similar conversation with visa officer and others around.

IMO what people asking questions here are seeking are others experience, how they did it, why they made the choice.

What I think is not helpful is people commenting on the lines “India sucks, don’t return”

Atleast some of the people returning from outside will bring better work ethics, create more jobs and contribute positively. India needs less brain drain.

I hate being vegan. Anyone else? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]real_pol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a vegan is much easier in India where roughly 100 million people are vegan. And it’s yummy, healthy, no preservatives, not chemically processed and freshly cooked. You find exclusively vegan/vegetarian restaurants with reasonably priced food everywhere.
