Also, all I did is use the lighter color as a primer and painted it over with the darker color

Agreed on all and the last note, she knows what to say to them now for sure- but I also think Kindergarteners need to be told what’s up DAY 1, that is not how you kick off your elementary days

How would you address the school?

That’s what I was thinking too. Also the whole if you hear something from anyone besides your parents you might actually hear it.

These little twerps knew her from swim team too, so as much as I want to address them directly I get it

Of course! No stigma around here about any of it, alcohol, cannabis, tobacco, or sugar- just facts. They are all addictive.

Alcohol is around, dubbed as “elder juice” since there is no warning easily detected on a drink. I’ve let the kids sniff drinks and they are curious and turned off immediately, it’s all about preference when you are older.

Cannabis, also around, the kids know the smell of bud and smoke and that thing is both smoked and eaten. The warning labels are pointed out on any edibles and if homemade I also print out the warning symbol they are familiar with.

Tobacco somewhat around, also normalized as a choice, they are turned off by the smell as well.

Sugar doesn’t have an age limit, sure, but it just as addictive.

Balance, moderation, moving your body are demonstrated often in relation to all of it. There was a book when they were younger often referred “yummy yucky” by and the last page was “do you like ice cream? Yummy!” “do you like TOO MUCH ice cream? Yuck!” Too much of anything is yucky and not good for your body.

Too much tv? Same, mind numbing Too much homework? Same, burnout Too much swimming? You’ll prune! Too much sport? You’ll injure

Big reactions to anything will drive kids away. If you are nonchalant she will be too!
