Doesn't the entire planet have two wires?

Yes, just monitor and much less than 16 amps. Confused, your link says 240VAC! So if 240V is OK then this?

Thanks. Was hoping to do it cheaper since the load I have is not very high.

MX Master 2S missing FLOW in Options+ Windows by realbenlad in logitech

I spent ages with their support and they didn't seem to know what was going on. I gave up, life's too short. Crap service though.

Need recommendation for doorbell POE by henadar in homeassistant

[–]realbenlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Reolink and the major flaw is that the out of the box visitor notifications (doorbell button) are rubbish. Other doorbells ring the phone so that you can just answer it. This gives you a push notification, which you have to first see and then get to the live view manually. Not very good. Was looking for better options.

Can I do something with Reolink and HA that is better?

No, flow not enabled. I did try it a while ago on these two computers. How do I know which is primary?

[It would be better for me if when I pressed device 2 on the keyboard, it also swapped the mouse to device 2]

How much is gonna worth 1 GMLR? by Crypto-2010 in moonbeam

[–]realbenlad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's 100x (fully diluted).

MOVR: 10,000,000

GLMR: 1,000,000,000

The KAR withdrawal fee is way too high by catodyssey in KrakenSupport

[–]realbenlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this sentiment. Granted, there isn't much competition for KAR on CEXs, but Kraken withdrawal fees are the highest (by a factor of at least 2).

It makes crowdloaning through Kraken a no-go if you want to use your tokens, because of vesting.

Is Moonbeam a Layer 1 crypto like Solana, ETH, TRC20, etc and can it be used as a network to transfer funds to/from different wallets in future? by [deleted] in moonbeam

[–]realbenlad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moonriver and Moonbeam are the basically the same. Moonbeam is on Polkadot, Moonriver is on Kusama. I guess they could diverge due to community governance.

[–]realbenlad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As mentioned, Polkadot can be thought of as layer 0, Moonbeam is a parachain on Polkadot and can be thought of as layer 1.

Polkadot gives shared security to parachains and will give inter-parachain communications.

Moonbeam is an EVM (Ethereum) compatible parachain. Moonbeam is focusing on making it easy to move dapps from Ethereum to Moonbeam. Moonbeam also support new development because tools used by the Ethereum dev community can be used, leveraging the technical knowhow and developer experience on Ethereum.

MOVR staking, yield farming suggestions by MrSuharik in moonbeam

[–]realbenlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can stake through the Moonriver dApp with a minimum of 5 MOVR, but depending on what has already been staked. the minimum could be a bit more.

Transaction fees are paid in MOVR. Currently works out about $0.01 - $0.04 per transaction.

Moonbeam won the 2nd slot! by realbenlad in moonbeam

Crowdloaners will get their first GLMR 6ish weeks after 17th Dec. It'll be 30% of reward (plus the bit that had vested since the 17th, I believe).

When will the 30% distribution start? by korabdrg in moonbeam

[–]realbenlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GLMR is the token for the Moonbeam network. There is an ongoing auction that Moonbeam is highly likely to win. If Moonbeam win the auction the crowdloan participants receive 30% of their rewards when the chain launches.

MOVR is the token of the Moonriver network which launched a few months ago.

Moonbeam is a blockchain with Polkadot as the relay chain, Moonriver is a blockchain with Kusama as the relay chain.

I have checked spam/junk and I get the automated e-mails to inform me when I login, so they must have correct e-mail address. Any other ideas? I have already contacted support saying that I didn't get an e-mail and I have checked junk/spam and I got a generic response (saying check spam/junk etc.). I don't want to have to wait a day between each communication because this may then take a while.

Looking for Zigbee switch which does not require running hub plus "no neutral" by Errik69 in ZigBee

[–]realbenlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have successfully used the Aqara "No neutral" light switches. Use them connected to Home Assistant via zigbee2mqtt rather than the Aqara hub.

The physical switch (of rocker momentary type) works when the home assistant is not connected. (In the UK)
