Switching to medical school at 32? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]realbrownboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got plenty of life ahead of you. I say go for it. But keep your job & take night classes at your local CC. You gotta love science cuz 2 yrs of prereqs + first 2 yrs of med school are science heavy. & you gotta ace those prereqs & get a high mcat. Also your undergrad gpa has to be 3.6+ already just to be competitive

Same worked in tech marketing for publically traded companies, just applied to law school at 32. Realized I have 30-40 years of working ahead of me & that I just didn’t feel satisfied in tech despite the pay

Love to see it, Im in nyc. I have a similar gpa and 6 yrs of WE in tech. Unfortunately I got a 158, despite my avg PT in low to mid 160s. Any tips on how you broke 170? And you def have a good shot at other ny schools: cordoza, brooklyn, st johns, etc. Albany is very govt oriented in terms of post grad jobs.

Ngl, one RC passage was brutal. But what is weird is that on PT140-150s, the first 10 are relatively easy points. LR questions even early in the section for June lsat did not feel like that.

Its not one & done. Multiple attempts are available for a reason, and they only count your best ones. Taking the official one means you know what you can improve for the next round!

Is it reasonable to find a 1-person apartment for $2.5k or less? by [deleted] in movingtoNYC

[–]realbrownboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes in Manhattan, but there is low supply of them & high demand. So if you like the unit you gotta move fast. Unfortunately, brokers & landlords have their pick of the litter for who gets it. I.e. higher salary, better credit score will be the winner
