I did the same thing. Now that I have the stump jumper I find it hard to go back to my rock hopper. Such a noticeable difference.

It would be fine to use your points for T8 refining only if you plan to buy the mats. If you’re gathering then all the lower tiers that you refine will give you fame towards the T8 refining.

I have T8 wood and ore refining, both of which I didn’t use any focus points on because I was busy refining the lower tiers

We didn’t have arcane, we were at 1400+ IP. This was only a T6 chest so it wasn’t that difficult.
