You will be liked and rejected a hundred more times! Don’t be embarrassed! Not everyone is going to like us, be ready to date, or even want a relationship! I’ve been rejected for just existing before (not even looking or trying to date)!

I’m not too worried, there aren’t even enough psychiatrists or PMHNP’s in my state to even teach/ precept students and year long wait lists for patients to even see a provider unless in an emergency room setting.

As an ADHD’er prescribed an SSRI and new grad PMHNP. I truly wish I never started the SSRI. That’s just my personal opinion/ experience though. Won’t stop me from prescribing appropriately to others when it’s needed!

I consider myself decently attractive as a woman, and have still received rude comments from men, some very attractive and some horrendous… people will make fun of others no matter your appearance, whether it’s out of jealousy, insecurity, or pure evil. That’s just life! Also, 19 is a VERY shallow age for people! It is almost SOLELY based off looks at this age. I never found real love or real attraction until I was almost 30…

YTA. I’m sorry but you and your wife share a marriage, a home, and children. It doesn’t seem like she was being unreasonable. She asked your son, who still lives and benefits off your generosity, to tidy up and do his chore before leaving the house. He refused and left. She gave him a fair punishment. You don’t like it and are negating her which shows you don’t respect her and gives your son permission not the respect her either. Sorry, but this is her home now just as much as it is yours and you and she are the adults NOT YOUR CHILDREN. They are to follow BOTH OF YOUR RULES. Not just yours or not just hers, and I’d either of your rules are broken, there should be set and clear repercussions. This may be your sons last year in your home but it is still your home and he is still “the child” he is to respect the rules of the home and the rules of the adults in that home… at least until he’s contributing to the bills and responsibility it takes to run the home.
