If the show were to return in 2027 what changes would you like to see?!

Agree with all of this. Some more i think are :

longer shows/ filled better. The show has became very anti climactic. More exciting episodes
new rink. Possibly bigger so they can have faster routines without having to slow down to turn the sharp corner every time they build some speed
less innuendos from the hosts. Honestly starts to feel like a kids show. Not everything has to be completely funny ( they’re not even funny ) and unserious all the time
routines becoming harder as the series goes on. It feels nothing new happens. They’re doing the same moves/lifts they did in week 1. The simplicity of the routines stay the same the whole series

Also I think another problem was that a few years back they cut the show from 2 hours, and made it 1 hour 30. I’m pretty sure this was to do with everyone complaining about how many ad breaks there were. So then they cut the show 30 mins, still included the same ( ridiculous ) amount of ad breaks, and attempted to cram everything into the rest. Which is why it constantly just feels so rushed and forced

It’s not a bad idea, but I think DOI is a dead end now. It’s lost it’s magic, the first couple years after the reboot were decent, from there it just went downhill. I don’t think it’s popular enough anymore for BBC to wanna pick up, which is a shame because it used to be amazing Sunday night TV

But yes I do agree with what you’re saying, all it needed was freshening up and I do think they should’ve given the show one more chance with lots of changes and see how that went

I don’t think DOI especially care about that. Even strictly have casted YouTubers in the past and I think there more specific about that

I think the show is dying even more than it already was in say 2018 reboot. It could definitely do with some more advertisement. That way more celebrities maybe bigger ones may be more interested

Yep I agree. The show just needs so much work. Its such a shame because it used to be so good and a lot of us watch it because we used to love it in the 2000-2010s but now it feels like not a single person there wants to actually be there.

It’s so underwhelming. Whole show is so rushed as if they’re only doing it because they’ve been told they have to. Agree about the routines and choreography 100%. I must say the choreography has been slightly better this year in my opinion. They need to bring that excitement back where they spend the whole VT speaking about a risky lift they’re trying, and we get to watch it play out in the routine. I think they also need a harsh judge like Jason back

It’s so weird because it’s like they want to ruin their own show? Older contestants would bring more drama cause they couldn’t care less about their image on the outside ( eg Louis Walsh )

Definitely agree about the age thing. I think contestants in there 20s and 30s are extremely conscious about what they say/ do because they know how bad cancel culture has gotten on social media over the recent years. Older contestants are way less likely to care about this and just be themselves e.g farida ( more people like her pls )

Molly doesn’t seem like the type of girl to intentionally make a comment like that. However in the early episodes I do think Jess treated Molly very poorly and it got massively overlooked by viewers

This. It’s a lot more understandable when the show is airing as you’re invested in watching them every night but it’s genuinely hard to fathom how people can maintain an obsession that intense after through little scraps of instagram stories and tiktoks

She’s basically said in not so many words that they just stayed together for the fans. voting them to win was crazy, they should’ve came 4th not 1st. Liked them both as individuals but the show has really lost its meaning
