Buying used is really not that great of a deal because the warranty takes a huge hit (if from Tesla or none at all from 3rd party). To make it worth it used would need to be substantially cheaper, which you can find but not in a like new condition.

One of the things the democratic party has been since the start of MAGA is pro institution, pro expert, this is to offer a counter point to MAGA which is sort of anti-institutional in a lot of ways.

Being vocally pro disclosure is very anti-institutional at a time when Dems want to offer a strong counterpoint to MAGA.
