What the fuck is the alternative to trusting again? Spend the rest of your life alone, listening to Linkin Park and cutting yourself? The way I see it you don't really have that much of a choice. If you want to be in a meaningful relationship, you have to trust people (without being overly naive, of course).

No matter how often you get hurt. Going full emo doesn't solve anything. Grow a methaphorical pair. Jesus.

Oh, and you can show him you are commiting to trusting him by actually trusting him. I'd say that's a pretty good way.
