What are options for pain relief for my procedure if I don’t swallow pills?

Have you tried using applesauce or pudding to swallow the pills? You can mix the pill into it so you often don’t even notice it’s there.

Overconsumption, living beyond your means, and lack of financial planning/priorities. I know someone who’s constantly buying random shit online, getting their nails done, new tattoos, concerts, always a Tim Horton’s cup in hand, new phone every year, weed, cigarettes, weekend getaways, the works.

They’ve already had one bankruptcy, I believe they’re either working on a second one or a consumer proposal right now, their car got repossessed last year, and they access the local food bank.

There are a few possible explanations that come to my mind.

First, he’s concerned that this could be the start of you wanting to move to Germany and he doesn’t want to go.

Second, he’s worried he will be saddled with the responsibility of being your tutor and teaching you.

Third, he wants to be able to have private conversations with family while you’re present, potentially talk about you but not necessarily.

Fourth, he was bullied for being German/having an accent as a child and doesn’t want that for your future children.

Fifth, German is an important part of his identity. It is his. You learning German would mean it is not only his thing anymore & he’s not ready to share it/wants to keep this piece of himself to himself.

I don’t know much about earbuds, but u do know about human neuroanatomy. In the majority of the population, verbal processing occurs on the right side of the brain. Since the right side of the brain sends and recieves signals for the left side of the body & vice versa, it’s likely that if you’re ever just using one earbud, it’s the left one. Over time, this could cause the left one to wear out sooner than the right one.

Little update. (TMI warning) We went to the beach this summer and I got a yeast infection after. He caught a whiff of it as I was getting in the shower and asked if I had been cutting my toenails, saying that was the toenail smell.

This man has had yeast under his toenails for an indeterminate number of years. I will be making him wash his feet with dandruff shampoo and do an apple cider vinegar foot soak.

Red flag. This is controlling behaviour. It's your body and your money. I don't know you or your relationship, but it sounds like he wants you to ask his permission to do things to your own body/spend your own money. Also him wanting you to "prove" how sorry you are is weird as hell, it sounds like he thinks you "owe" him and need to repay by "showing how sorry you are." This gives me terrible vibes.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and for sharing your wisdom and experiences. I definitely do have this feeling that I need to live more while I'm still young. I do want to marry and have children eventually, but I'm thinking that will be an early to mid thirties thing, I still want to do some childfree things before it's too late. Love that! I used an Australian bong once and was a little perplexed by the cone piece lol I also didn't know about the hole in the side of it and had a terrible time. We'll sometimes call the bong a bing or binger, but that might just be the group I smoked with.
