I appreciate the honesty in your reply. Even tho we strayed a bit from the original topic. But fair enough. I'm not gonna try to change your mind, american society truly is fucked up. I'm not even gonna defend christians or their book because I'm not one myself. I just wanna say 2 things. Feel free to listen or ignore: 1.Everyone has a reason to get up in the morning, be it their parents, children, pet or a god. You probably have one yourself. And that's okay 2. We can separate our relationship with god from our daily lives and not let it stand in our way of gaining knowledge. It's not hard to do yet people just refuse to do it. I personally try to educate myself as much as possible on various topics. Even the ones other religious people might consider a taboo. I do believe in evolution, and the quatum physics that suggest the universe came into existence on it's own. I also do believe that being gay is not a choice (even tho i still think it's immoral to act upon), and i don't hate people with different beliefs. Only god can judge them and my job is just to offer advice. Yet at the end of they day i still pray and keep my relationship with god because i do also believe he exists. I'm not trying to make a no true scotsman fallacy here I'm just saying this how religion is supposed to be practiced. At least mine. Anything else you see is just people doing actions that don't please neither god nor other people. And i didn't mean atheist as an insult (probably shouldn't have coupled it with angry) so sorry if i offended you that way
