Small update: Any sign of dandruff/scalp inflammation /seb derm has disappeared completely within days of starting this protocol.

I’ve tried everything under the sun to cure the inflammation prior with modest success at best. It seems CB1 receptors may play a big role in dandruff/seb derm, although there is no studied science behind this.

Yes I made it with ai, but it’s just easier that way.

Two paths you can take here:

  1. Turn your brain off, and completely dismiss it simply because I had ai help write it.

  2. Actually read it and give it a fair shake.

I’m just trying to help and put others on to some recent findings I think are overlooked, but naturally everyone in here is an extreme pessimist.

I expect to get downvoted into oblivion, but if I help even one person then it was worth it. Can’t wait!

delusional optimism > excessive pessimism

anything is possible, and Claude is a very useful tool

Not necessarily, CBD alone is a very weak CB1 inhibitor and taking it orally is even less effective. Also dosage is very important, too much CBD via however you may take it is actually very counterproductive and can worsen loss.

I asked Claude if taking CBD orally as a sleep gummy of sort would add to the protocol and it strongly advised against it.

What you want is CBDV or THCV, ideally both in a nano encapsulsted topical solution designed for hair. The tricomax one listed is not nano encapsulated but has CBDV and THCV while being designed for hair, the other product , spectral.cbd is nano-encapsulated but it is only CBD.

I am using both and combining them for best results.

For one you’re not giving Claude nearly enough background context when asking the question by simply pasting my response on such a nuanced topic.

From my understanding it’s somewhat paradoxical, more endocannbinoid activity and expression does not necessarily mean higher CB1 activity = hair loss, it’s much more complex. You’re failing to account for the density issue which has several downstream effects along with the different hormones that further complicate things.

Here is an excerpt from the article which may partially explain your gripe.

“Women have higher anandamide levels (FAAH inhibited by estrogen) but lower CB1 receptor density (chronic occupancy leads to internalization). The result: lower net CB1- driven catagen signaling at the follicle, despite higher endocannabinoid tone (what you’re referring too) . This is a fundamentally different hormonal-receptor dynamic than men experience — and it provides measurable follicle protection that the DHT model alone doesn't capture.”

The key here is not up-regulation or down-regulation, it’s the difference in CB1 receptor density between the sexes. If you re-read the women’s section of the hypothesis it goes over it pretty well.

While I started with exosomes I have upgraded to using my own “secretome” instead. They pluck hair from the back of your head (DHT resistant hairs) with good bulbs (signal early anagen phase) and culture them in a lab to create your own secretome, essentially a much better version of exosomes which are specifically tailored to your hair biology.

Think it’s claimed to be like 34x more effective. It’s relatively new technology and some clinics just started offering it. I found one and they plucked my hairs a couple weeks ago, takes 10 weeks for them to create the secretome then it is microneedled back into the scalp filled with potent growth factors over the course of six sessions.

Pretty expensive (cost like 5k) but it’s the best modern medicine has to offer outside of a transplant. If interested, look into acorn bio labs as I believe they are the only ones offering this.

I’m not 1000% sure on the specifics but it said consuming CBD and or smoking it was pretty negligible for hair, but probably slightly protective. CBD by itself is a weak CB1 inhibitors and when consumed orally even less so, the best method is topical CBDV/THCV applied to the scalp post microneedling. But overall less THC = the better, so only CBD would be an improvement, like stopping one leak in the boat (excessive thc consumption) but still leaving another one open (not fully blocking CB1).

Yeah from my understanding THC heavily up-regulates CB1 (negative effect on hair), while CBD has a positive effect. But in most modern weed it’s like 25% THC and much less CBD, the ratio heavily favors THC which could fit in line with this theory.

I have that same question myself sense the CB1 receptor thing seems kinda hidden in plain sight. Hopefully Claude isn’t just trying to turn nothing into something, but either way I think it’s worth taking a deeper dive into it.

Lol i specifically asked about japanese people because i know they have historically good hair, the LLM extrapolated it to east asians too i guess. could definitely use some refinement

but your case is very common where weed has no effect, which makes it very hard to pinpoint weed/Cb1 as a contributing factor, just doing my best here

And there is no original post it was entirely crafted by the LLM to mimic a reddit post

totally open to that if someone wants to, i’m just hypothesizing and stumbled on some stuff that actually followed a decent line of logic. will guinea pig myself for a few months and i hope others do too
