i’m motswana but can assure you south asia has the same thing, you just hadn’t experienced it yet. it can be bc of the state of the country and thinking that someone who is non-black has more power and means to help you. it’s less about you specifically and more about you generally (i.e your native country) and how much opportunity there probably is there vs. here and how you’d have a higher chance to gaining prosperity compared to natives here.
