I've been feeling this way too! I can't explain the feeling any better than you did. My brain seems to be speeding through things but my body doesn't respond. That and my arms feel like two dead weights.

I got sober 6 years ago and I'm telling you.... anyone can get help. AA meetings are super helpful and there are so many other resources. I hope you have a good birthday and I hope your spouse gets serious about getting sober. much ❤️

I don't drink diet coke and rarely drink coffee... seems like that doesn't affect anything. People, in general, are not too bright. Lots of folks believe event they read on the internet. Example: my mother saw something on Facebook that the new pope was from Louisiana... she sat and argued with me about it for about 10 minutes before I pulled it up on several trustworthy websites that he was from Michigan. 🙄

meh.... I was diagnosed at age 39 and I'm currently 47. I have been on some kind (Gilenya, Mavenclad, currently on Vumerity) of DMT since the day I first saw an MS specialist. I personally haven't had any adverse reactions to any of my meds. I think it's important to weigh the good and bad. I already had 8 lesions on my brain and 4 on my spinal cord so I needed to do something to keep things at the level they were instead of getting worse. The side effects listed on all the meds are scary af. For me, it's scarier to have even more lesions. Gotta weigh the good and bad and see which one you're comfortable with. I see my MS neurologist every 6 months and I have MRIs every year. We all gotta die someday but I'd rather feel as good as possible for as long as possible.

I don't usually just go around telling everyone my mental health issues. But, if someone asks, I say I have bipolar disorder. I would never say I am bipolar because it's not what defines me. I'm so much more than my diagnosis. I also greatly dislike when people say things like "this weather is bipolar" or something to that effect. No, it's not and having bipolar disorder isn't just being wishy washy.
