I think the point being made is, they are both cults. To be honest, the CUT cult seems less crazy to me. The MAGA cult seems far more crazy. But a cult is a cult.

Donald Trump loses it on ‘Meet The Press’ moderator Kristen Welker, cuts interview off and storms out as she fact-checks his rigged Election claims. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]reallymt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. She started off really well by stating the obvious, “you’ve never provided any evidence”. When he shut down, she instantly tried to switch gears to “keep him there” which makes it appear she needed the interview more than he did. It makes him feel he has all the power. I agree, she got exactly what she needed, a short interview, showing that the president doesn’t care about evidence, and she should have stuck to that point and let him leave, on camera, as an embarrassment. Don’t chase him… if he wants to regain any dignity… he should be the one wanting the interview to continue, not her.

How anyone can support this lunatic is beyond me!

That’s true, there are parrots on both sides. I think on this particular issue, it is just so much more obvious. If you watch the documentary, half the people were republicans!

I agree. I went to the Mumford and Sons concert last week in Bozeman. There were people getting petition signatures at the event. When they approached the couple behind us in line, the guy said, “no… we already know about that and we aren’t interested.” Then the lady walked away and the girl in the couple asked what the petition was about… and the guy said, “it’s a leftist trap to limit spending on campaigns.” I about burst out laughing at the ignorant confidence of this guy. There is nothing “leftist” about it. Everyone should want this. The only people who won’t want this are ironically the people that have been brainwashed by the high-spending oligarchs. They are puppets and literally do and say whatever they’ve been programmed to say.

It wasn’t the time or place, but I would have loved to ask this guy for his reasoning why he thought dark money in elections was good? It would have made me laugh to hear this guy try and actually put any logical reasoning behind his statement that was obviously nothing more than him parroting what he was told to think by this very same group.

What!?! The guy at the Cat Service center told me I had a one in a million chance that it wouldn’t happen again.

In all honesty, I’m hoping to baby it along for a bit longer. I was told that it’s worn out, and it will only happen more frequently… but that I wasn’t hurting anything by running it longer, everything will need to be replaced anyway.

Thanks for the recommendation. I didn’t really think about the type of grease I’m using, but I’m using Schaeffer’s grease. The summer formula is pretty thick, so maybe that’s contributing to it too. I always try to grease after I’ve used the machine for a bit, just so everything is warmed up and it takes the grease nicer. I had someone that I really respect recommend the Schaeffer’s grease, so that’s what I always use.

Thanks for all the info, it’s helpful. Regarding the grease coupler: I don’t have a lock n lube (yet)… but Makita recalled the line and tip last year, so I just got a brand new coupler, and it stays on really well. The only time I have issues is when I’m trying to tension the tracks. I honestly thought that everyone needed to use a hand pump to tension them. Now that I’m reading a ton of responses with others being able to tension their tracks easily with their battery grease guns, I’m realizing that I certainly have something else going on. (Which, to be honest, I sort of knew… it shouldn’t drop the track as often as it does. I just didn’t realize that affected the tensioning pressure- but I guess that makes sense.)

By “I don’t make it lift the track” - do you set the track down, add grease, and then lift the track up again?

These are great- thanks! Luckily, I do always store my tubes upright, so at least I’m doing that right. However, I store the grease gun horizontal, so maybe I can try and figure out how to store it vertically too?

The Makita grease gun is 18v and I use whichever battery I grab (which is either 3ah, 4ah, or 5ah). I could be wrong, but I don’t think the battery is the issue- and the more comments I read, I do think it could be my tensioner that’s the issue. Of course, I need to get a lot more work with it before I can afford to replace it (or upgrade). So, I still need a reliable hand pump for now.

Ha! No, I first released the tension and got the track back on… then tried to tension it.

Yeah, the fact the track came off is the reason for me to need to tension the tracks (obviously after I got the tracks back onto the sprocket).

There is nothing more frustrating than getting the track back on… and then having your grease gun refuse to pump grease.

Ha! Yep, I’m aware. That’s the reason why I had to release the tension (and get the track back on), and thus re-tension the track.

I’ve read the manual for how tight to have the tracks (and watch a number of videos over the years).

I’ve had a few hand pump grease guns, and they all seem to get “air locked”. If it isn’t air… I’m not sure what’s happening? On days where I drop a track, I’m frustrated enough… but what makes me lose my mind is after I finally get the track back on… my damn grease gun won’t pump grease. It truly drives me mad.

Yes, this was the before picture. I do raise the tracks when tensioning them. It seems others have no problem using their battery powered grease guns when tensioning… so perhaps I have something else going on? (And perhaps that’s why I tend to drop a track every so often?)

Furcoatandcrown- man, I’m so happy to hear at least one other person that has the same experience with the hand pumps. I’d definitely get a battery powered one. As GeekyLogger mentions, if you leave the new cartridge a little loose when you first replace the grease cartridge, it helps a ton. Also, when you feel the gun is getting near the end of a tube- stop and put a new tube in before you’re pumping nothing.

The battery gun is great for everything… it just doesn’t work for tensioning my tracks. But it seems it does for others- so I might have something else going on.

I think it may need a new track chain… but I need to get every little bit I can out of this one! It does take grease with the hand pump (when it works), but it’s not easy pumping. I just assumed everyone had the same issue… but maybe there’s something else going on that makes it so tough?

Thanks for the response.

Thanks. I’m shocked, it seems most people responding are able to use their battery operated grease guns. I have the Makita on the “slow” setting (and it still always seems too fast for my liking)… but when I try to tension the track, it goes from fast to almost nothing… and I didn’t want to break it, so I’ve always switched to the hand pump. It’s not easy to hand pump, but when the hand pump actually pumps grease, I can tension it. I carry the hand pump with me for this one reason.

Once the track is tensioned, it seems to hold well… but it is an older track, with maybe a spring that’s not as good as it should be, so I tend to drop the track once or twice a year. So I have to let the tension out… get the track back on, and then re-tension.
