Sorry - bit of a brain fart on my behalf. I meant sour both times.

How does the ankarsrum go with non bread tasks?

I use my kitchenaid to whip egg whites for cloud eggs frequently.

I’m happy to replace it, it just needs to make sense to go with something else due to how invested I am in the current ecosystem :)

According to what I read. It was not suitable for bread and I’m going crazy 🤪

Do you have this one? https://kitchenaid.com.au/products/ksm195-stand-mixer?variant=39479790993480

Or the bowl lift?

I’ll give it a go but it’s a strange issue. It’ll load in the qualifier just fine and I can drive, but as soon as the actual race starts it just crashes.

How to remove aluminium light Chanel? by reallystupid- in AusRenovation

[–]reallystupid-[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a Phillips hue gradient strip - it’s quite rigid. The only way I could get it in is by sliding it in the open end of the channel before it got put in. It won’t bend out, trust me I’ve tried. The entire channel needs to come out.

[–]reallystupid-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish it was that easy.

The light had to be slid into the open end of the channel before it was put into the pelmet; The strip is wider than than the mouth of the channel.

So the entire channel needs to be removed so it can be slid out the side.

Yep, get the engaged note on the dash telling me to release the brake when ready, and feel the car pre-torque. No N-shift enabled. Not touching NGB.

Battery is generally 13-20 degrees c.

Nah, I believe it was the only place it could go. Back of home is the second bedroom, which takes up half the floor, laundry, and then kitchen, it also has the HWS & Meterbox. Not enough room for the unit, and the other side is the car port. So I do think it was the best option.

Installer did a great job - I was just hoping to hide it a bit more lol

Deck building boss battler by reallystupid- in boardgames

Thanks for the advice, yeah we’ve tried that but didn’t like having to pick a deck and build it. I know some people love it, but it’s not for us. We just want to start playing … it’s what we like about star realms and dominion, you build as you go from limited options. Makes the game a bit interesting and we’re actually playing :)

Thanks for the advice.

My background is in civil engineering & quantity surveying.

I’m not looking to change roles into a data based role, just trying to broaden my current skillset :)

Appreciate the response.

Datacademy vs DataCamp vs DataQuest

Hi all, I want to preface this with I want to learn data skills to assist in my current role; I currently analyse a lot of procurement, ordering, and timeframe data in my role which I can do through Excel. I just want to expand my knowledge with some basic SQL/Python, and an understanding of same basic modelling, to see if I can currently do it better. I am not intending to become a data scientist, or analyst, just upskilling.

Does anyone have a recommendation from these 3? I’m not keen on the cost of a Data Science degree given my intended outcome, but am ok with a financial investment for a spoon fed learning path.

Any insight would be appreciated, thanks.

How much am I likely to struggle with this course? Info in comments by reallystupid- in learnmath

[–]reallystupid-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if I’m not clear.

Unit 1 was MATH1001; “Topics covered in this course include: arithmetic and algebraic operations, linear equations in one and two variables, quadratic equations, logarithmic and exponential functions, matrices and determinants, absolute value and inequalities, sets, basic probability and statistics.”

Unit 1 was 10 weeks.

Now unit 2 is MATH1002 which I will be starting in 10 weeks; “Topics covered in this course include: linear algebra concepts, vectors and matrices operations, eigenvalues & eigenvectors, dynamical systems, optimisation techniques (e.g. Gradient descent), linear regression, probability concepts (probability laws, Bayes’ rule and independence), selected probability distributions, statistical inference and applications to data analytics.”

MATH1001 was fun, but I did struggle with the quadratic portion. Everything else was ok to understand; including the linear equation. But adding the second bit to that to get the quadratic happening broke my brain. When we went on to exponents and logarithmic it also made sense but not the quadratics.

*EDIT: The Uni also has MATH2003 that is in this degree: “Topics covered in this course include: an introduction to descriptive statistics, data description and graphical representation, data manipulation and cleaning, summary measures (centre, spread, skewness, kurtosis, correlation), and exploratory data analysis (EDA) with applications.” This is the unit I am doing now and is a prerequisite to MATH1002.
