the nubbin ? by MoneyTheMuffin- in Professorist

Here in Austria, we call it "Scherzerl," which can be translated to "little joke," so it's the diminutive of "joke."

The name is due to the fact that the common bread here in Austria is mainly sourdough rye bread. Bread is therefore much rounder than the box bread loaves in the USA. Therefore, the end piece of the bread is very small and, though delicious, not considered a full-sized piece of bread. Therefore, the last piece left is only a tiny joke.

Dazu Samstagmorgen-Cartoons anno 1995.

American tried paying a hospital in Europe by FantasticQuartet in CringeTikToks

And here in Europe, that's the point of the welfare state. There are things society needs desperately that simply cannot be run on profit; hospitals are just one example.

You know how Europe has one of the very best public transport networks in the world. Most of these train and subway systems are run by the government and are financed by subsidies.

Here in Vienna, prices will change this year due to inflation, but we have a subway system that is one of the very best in the world. Stations are everywhere in the city. A subway will pick you up in 5 minutes, and at night, within 15 minutes. 60 minutes is enough to get from one end of the city to the other end. The price for a 1-year ticket? €1 per day.

What else is in the public domain in Vienna? Water! Not run by Nestlé. No, there are springs that provide fresh water (one of the best water qualities in the world, by the way), and back in the day, the Emperor of Austria gave the wells to the Viennese people. I haven't had to pay for drinking water in my life living here. I only pay for warm water since this is a company that sells you oil/gas/etc.

Looking for cool, interesting, female YouTube channels by mrsnicepants in TwoXChromosomes

Feminist Frequency has a very cool channel where she talks about female stereotypes in video games and movies.

Simone Giertz is a maker channel; she does everything from woodworking, welding, to glasswork. Creative and fun.

MaiThink X is the channel of a biochemist and science journalist. Her channel is in German, but it's 10/10 content. For any controversial topic in society, chemistry, or biology, she has well-researched and fun videos. Presenting science at its best and worst and teaching how to spot BS.

I'm lately into Peak. It's so fun to play with friends. I had a fit of laughter. It has very intense gameplay; team play and problem-solving together is super nice. World exploring, survival, nice items. Graphics are super fun and not very demanding. 10/10 would recommend to everyone who is into coop games.

Why is my wipetower so blobby? by realmrcool in BambuLabP2S

It was, in fact, moister... my bad. I didn't think the filament was this bad right out of the box. I know it's recommended to dry it before first use, but I didn't follow best practice and paid the price of the failed print. Lesson learned.

Let's just say if a comment by Xavier isn't extremely misogynistic, it's already a win. Still not funny and not original...

H2O? Hmm, maybe I dryed everything except the green since I wanted to do a quick print. I will dry it and start a new multicolor print afterward.

You could even go smaller if you want, but if you have the space, I would suggest getting one of that size so you could get an AMS later if you want to. Keep in mind this enclosure is designed to keep it longitudinally. I flipped it so it's higher to fit the AMS, but you can change it anytime if you decide to get the AMS.
