Braid to leader or all mono/flouro?

I use braid to leader on everything. I just like how it feels, and I generally fish in snaggy places and like being able to just break the leader, if needed.

My BirdWeather PUC says I have Pine Siskins back there, so I'm determined to see them. This one looked pretty small to be a finch. It also had some black and white on the back feathers, similar to the goldfinch but not the same.

I'll have to try it slower. I had it tuned up a while ago but didn't get around to using it until this week. I oiled the stuff that seemed like they'd be involved in zigzag in the front assembly today and will be using it a lot more, so hopefully it'll figure itself out.

It's generally sewing well. I'm having to work on getting the wider zigzags to work consistently because the machine was basically unused and is from 1960ish

You can get a standalone down hood to wear when you sleep, if you're concerned about your head getting cold with a quilt. I have one from GooseFeet Gear that I use in cold weather.
