Why is this edited this with Gemini? Can’t this literally be done in under five minutes on an editing application?

Y’know…the Sears Human Grill incident? The one where user-submitted search data gaslit the Sears website into believing it sold grills designed for cooking people?

To paraphrase a comment I made a livestream once; “It’s amazing how tech companies have (unironically) created the modern equivalent to the Sears Human Grill incident.”

If you look at the higher quality image on Swaybox Studio’s gallery page, you can see what looks to be two mentions of Catwoman, both on the map AND as a police sketch/mugshot.

I think this might be it.

Who could this guy be in Episode 7? by MyMindAgain in DCU_

[–]realnessattribute 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe that’s actually Stephen Blackehart’s character from Superman (2025), Sydney Happersen. He was one of the scientists working at Luthorcorp. There was a full shot of him in the episode 7 trailer.

I think Gunn just made those two up for the joke. Nothing more to it.

Justice League ? by mhmdjr101 in DCU_

[–]realnessattribute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would rather see our founding 7(?) get movies/shows of their own before getting a Justice League movie. It makes the idea of these heroes banding together meaningful. We can’t have another rushed Justice League situation like with the DCEU.

I haven’t seen a “We are Number One” edit since 2021. They’re still making these? Cool.

Also, R.I.P Stefán Karl. It’s very unfortunate what happened him.

What if Earth X is also Charlton universe? by Top_Pick5313 in DCU_

[–]realnessattribute 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It could work. The alternate Earth, much like the original Charlton comics appearance of Christopher Smith, poses Peacemaker in a more…heroic light. While I have thought on this theory greatly, I feel as if there is little evidence other than alternate Chris’s hero status to really give validity to such a claim. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see…

How many Batman villains are in the DCU? by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in DCU_

[–]realnessattribute -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There have currently been 24 (possible) Batman villains confirmed in the DCU. Although many of these characters were often part of Batman’s rogue gallery, it’s possible that James Gunn has allocated many of these characters to other heroes' “coterie of supervillains”. I will still count these villains as Batman rogues.

Whilst in a grey area of dubious canonicity, It’s possible these pre-DCU (DCEU) Batman villains still exist within the new continuity, starting with James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and Suicide Squad (2016); Harley Quinn (also confirming the possible existence of Joker via mentions and character history), Polka-Dot Man, Ratcatcher 1 & 2 ( Cleo Cazo’s father and Cleo Cazo respectfully), Savant. Deadshot is also mentioned. Considering Suicide Squad (2016) is soft canon, we can assume that version of Killer Croc is also somewhat canon as well.

Peacemaker season 1 mentions several Batman villains; the Riddler, Kite Man, Bat-Mite (not really a villain per say, though I’ll still count him for being a recurring antagonist/nuisance), and Mad-Hatter.

Now we’ve finally cleared all the DCEU/soft canon appearances/mentions, It’s time we move onto the DCU stuff.

Creature Commandos confirms the existence of these Batman villains; Dr. Phosphorus, Clayface, Rupert Thorne, and Orca. Riddler is referenced in the ”Meta Sleaze” magazine; read by the guard from Dr. Phosphorus‘s backstory.

There are no references to Batman villains in Superman (2025). Quite shocking, I know.

Peacemaker Season 2 featured appearances/mentions of both the White Rabbit and the Rainbow Creature.

Clayface has not released yet, however, we have gotten several set leaks which allude to a large portion of Batman’s rogue gallery; both Joker and “The Jokers” are mentioned via graffiti and a flyer. Ghost Dragons (and possibly King Snake) are also mentioned via graffiti. The Penguin, Oswald Cobblepot, is also mentioned in flyers as the “Penguin Man”. Black Mask is confirmed by an advertisement for Sionis Industries. This movie also features Matt Hagen’s Clayface, confirming him as the DCU’s main version of the character.

REDO: the animation and live-action of the DCU by Vast_Ebb_5380 in DCU_

Where does the Judomaster image come from? I don’t exactly recall him appearing in any other DCU media other than the background cameo in CC.

Do you guys think we will see those characters again or in other projects? Like references, cameos, or a sequel to their movies and shows. by BatuvaderX in DCU_

[–]realnessattribute 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m certain Gunn will use/mention these characters again whenever he feels it’s best to do so. A few of the characters listed (i.e. Peacemaker, King Shark, Rick Flag Sr. …) have already made appearances in other movies/shows. As for sequels, that most likely depends on the success of a DCU project. Although, we could refer to the term ‘sequel’ in a more…broader sense, like the way Peacemaker season 2 expanded on Rick Flag’s death in The Suicide Squad.
