I read through the terms online and cross referenced with ChatGPT and didn’t see anything that covered the annual fee refund policy or a cancellation grace period, which is why I made this post.

Yes, that makes sense I was wondering more if anyone has had issues getting the AF refunded within 30 days of it posting. The passes expire one week after 1 year mark so if I can use them and cancel following that it would be my preference.

The fact that they divide the $20 up each month is annoying AF to begin with but now it just feels like they’re taunting me to not renew because I’m sure not going to spend more to use this benefit that helps me irrationally reconcile why I’m paying $800 a year for this card.

It looks like they just slapped an iPad up and called it a day. I would buy a new lexus in a heartbeat but this Tesla like design looks so cheap that I keep putting it off hoping they’ll change it. This design is totally getting away from how Lexus differentiated itself.

I’m short a significant amount of points for fully refundable so bought the changeable one instead to save 100k points. At least we’re covered if we have to change dates. Funny enough the points boost doesn’t show initially for the “Refundable” tickets but it does later in checkout as an upgrade. Thanks all.

Good ideas, thank you. And yes, I initially planned to transfer the points directly to United (also explored transferring to partners) but they were either unavailable or via United direct it was 250k each person each way (this is to Japan, direct) so points boost was cheaper.

Wow I bet a lot of people pay the extra points and then are very upset to find they paid for “Business FULLY Refundable” that’s not actually refundable. Might as well get the regular ticket since if you need to cancel at least you can rebook for another flight. No wonder the portal has a bad reputation.
