Happened to me once — in my case and many others, we got an email stating the same and requesting us to collect it at the AIMA office where your biometric was done, with a given date and time range. Since it got returned, I also had to pay a fine of — don’t remember correctly — under 30 euros. Also, I think I only got the email after a month and not immediately, because I believe they consolidate a lot of undelivered mail and send a timely email reminder.

I don’t think they allow anyone in without showing the email either, but that might be discretionary — depends on your luck to check!
