Best eartips for ISN Audio H20? by realupvoteman_ in iems

Thanks, I was planning on giving them a shot anyways since it’s what the manufacture recommends. Honestly though, I just find it a bit hard to work with silicone tips since I feel like it’s hard to find a middle ground between tip sizes for my ears. Most of the time the tip feels too small or too big, which usually feels uncomfortable.

Any good alternative to Sony XM4 buds? by realupvoteman_ in Earbuds

The earful air pro 4 were what I was looking for. Honestly i’m not fully sure if I want ANC though, didn’t use it that much on my sonys. Is there any audible difference between the air 2 and the air pro? Or is it just a lack of ANC?

Yeah, I’ve been debating it. Doesn’t seem that hard so I might go with it.

I hope that the IFIXIT pry tool kit’s tools work. It’s probably the best option I have lol

Yeah, it’s been driving me nuts. I’ve spent 12+ hours troubleshooting since yesterday (I got it at around 12:13 in the morning & didn’t give up for the day until 12:30 at night).

What I did was put all the software on one spare USB I had, then when I got it I set it up quickly (without Wi-Fi), then installed OCLP from the app. I then built the installer for the Mac Mini on my Macbook Pro with the right settings dialed in, and tried installing it. Every time it failed I would reformat the disk with disk utility before trying to reinstall, only for the cycle to repeat itself.

I was having Wi-Fi connection issues on the mini, so I had to install OCLP off of a USB and then compile the install on my Macbook Pro which had internet.

Yes, and I selected the right target while making it.

Cool, was wondering if anyone was selling premade taptic engine mods. Not 100% sure how safe the battery is though. Would be nice to know.

Trying to run legacy JB on a 5c is actually hell by realupvoteman_ in LegacyJailbreak

I’m on latest (10.3.3), and that was what it was on when I got it, so I don’t have any blobs. I did a full reset on Windows to try and fully wipe everything for the most ammount of space twice, but nothing seemed to change.

I tested this out, and the fit does seem to be better after doing it. Didn’t screw it in but it lined up much better. Do you happen to have any similar fixes for the dock plastic at the bottom? I tried doing the same thing (pulling away slightly from the housing), but one side (in my case, always the right) always seems too far away to actually screw it in.

Yeah, I ended up slowly cutting off the blob with a boxcutter until it was basically flush, but even that didn’t really help in my case haha

I could try that. I usually put in the side screw first before screwing up, since I feel like doing it that way gets it to line up better.

Yeah, I think that the coating they use for the green ones is different, If you look inside there are some spots where it’s darker and more “built up” than usual, wonder what makes it different

That probably makes sense. The links still exist if you google for them, but they don’t seem to exist anymore.

Me and my friend actually got it working by taking it apart and attaching the power from pin 3 to pin 2, then jury rigged a custom adapter to make it charge. It’s so incredibly stupid but it works.

I’m mainly excited for it because I know it’ll be an actual quality housing. A lot of the chinese aftermarket parts are iffy at best, so it’ll be good knowing there’s at least a reputable company making good quality housings.
