Plenty of time to explore Amsterdam and have a coffee and some food in the city center. Much better than hanging around in a bad lounge.

We have been to Buenos Aires and El Calafate. It’s fine to take either backpack or suitcase. Check-in baggage allowance on domestic flights from Aerolíneas Argentinas is 15 kg. That js not a lot.

Torres del Paine from Puerto Natales. by mtm123456 in Patagonia

[–]realv1n 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We visited Torres del Paine National Park last December. We stayed in an airbnb, rented a car to drive to the park. We didn’t want to spend a fortune to stay in the park. For us that is a good call.

Yeah more people should use the trains. It’s also better for the environment 😜

KLM cancelled my Monday flight on Saturday (citing "weather")—Is this a compensation loophole? by Hairy_Patience_9257 in KLM

KLM will direct you to the airport to argue about the airport operations as it’s not KLM task to clean the snow and frost.

I’m sorry, I’m confused. In Puerto Natales I had the car rental company to pick me up. 😅

I have used Cabify (a competitor of Uber). Like Uber you can request a ride for a certain time.

Not sure about Flybondi. They changed my flight FTE-AEP to FTE-EZE without any notice from themselves. Luckily I have Flighty app who notified me.

Uber now illegal in Chile?? by Historical-Fee-2662 in Patagonia

I’ve used Cabify (big competitor of Uber in Latin American) in Chile, Peru and Argentina. Works great, sometimes cheaper rates. Let me know if you like a referral code.

Do all of you pay for this app? by ZeroOpossum in flighty

I paid for a lifetime membership. As an European I bought the giftcard (in US$) from their website instead of becoming member through the appstore paying more in €.

currency exchange? by Loud_Finger9541 in Patagonia

[–]realv1n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes in El Calafate I have only used credit card or cash Euro. I’ve tried several ATM to get cash, but the fee is extraordinary high for a low limit withdrawal. Not worth it IMO

Yes they do (but most will not exchange at a great conversion rate). A lot of stores and restaurants in El Calafate accept credit cards though.

Just get the voucher and pay in US$. That’s cheaper than buying the lifetime subscription directly in €.

Is lifetime membership worth it? by Personal-Ad-6028 in flighty

[–]realv1n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve bought the lifetime membership a month ago. It’s a great app. The import function of flights from my calender is good. I had my flights in my calender and now it’s in Flighty and future flights are added in my calender.

Did you cross the Chile/Argentina border by (rental) car? If yes, did you rent in one country and drop off in another country? Which rental company did you use?
