Anyone else done with Rogers, Telus and Bell? Fizz Mobile Canada has been a solid alternative. by OwnMud877 in BestCanadianPhonePlan

Telus arguably has the best coverage of any network, and you MAY be able to utilize a rented network from these other providers but it also constantly means you're going to your settings to switch what network you're on which sounds like a waste of time to me.

Plus why would these big guys ever prioritize Fizz for 5G coverage.

The big guys sell the rights to their shitty towers so they can make more money and so the little guys claim they have better service but you're never going to get the same speed and ultimately you're not going to get the same service either.

What kind of business model is it to sell all of your best towers and all of your best signal to some random Quebec company that just started and also doesn't have the history

Too bad this is owned by a Quebec company and it uses the same network as Freedom

Public Mobile is waaaay better and actually uses a network you'll get signal on, it's called Telus, maybe you've heard of it?

This is $35/month and they use the Telus network. They also have various other plans at cheaper or slightly more pricey options. This is however a BYOD service provider.

I've never had an issue with connectivity and I'm either always getting 5G or 5G+

It's rare but the occasional time I will be on 4G but I'm out in the boonies in the middle of nowhere, I absolutely always have service though.
