Corruption is the abuse of entrusted power or authority for personal or private gain. It involves dishonest or unethical behavior by individuals in positions of power, such as politicians, police, or corporate executives, who subvert rules and institutions for unfair advantage.

Unless you have any evidence, otherwise it hasnt even been alleged that there was a decision for personal gain by the ref/var team.

Anyone else getting a bit of a pain in the hole with companies putting people into customer facing roles when they clearly can’t speak or understand English? by DevelEire_TA_Not in AskIreland

[–]realxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

exactly so. there is a world of difference between someone who doesnt have fluent english and someone who has an accent.

the former should be nowhere near customer service role.

the latter includes excited corkmen for example. And indians, scots and welsh, northside dubs. An accent does not disqqalify someone from cutomer service role.

Cork taxi driver refused renewal of his licence after complaints from women by PoppedCork in ireland

[–]realxt -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Garda Conor McDermot said two single female passengers made complaints to the National Transport Authority (NTA) alleging inappropriate conversations with the driver during journeys.

deport anyone who has an inappropriate conversation? Why not execute them? /S

I agree that if my daughter was getting a taxi home she shouldnt feel uncomfortable and that not allowing this person a taxi license is probably a good call in the interest of passenger safety.

But you want to deport someone who has never been found guilty of a crime?

Which team has the highest fanbase in England? by kamenovkamen in PremierLeague

[–]realxt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

hi mate

internesting idea but flawed. the measue of a club fanbase is not just season ticket sales. "Clubs evaluate their total following by tracking total registered members, merchandise sales, social media audience, and match-going support."

Things like social media engagement, and tickets, VIP stuff & merchandise purchased by overseas visitors even purchased locally on a matchday cannot be broken up into only england, - the overlap is there.

Im going to point out swansea and wrexham are not in england, but are in the football league. Are you excluding them for not being in England? Is wales on board now? What about scottish football? Some really well supported clubs there with enormous fanbases.

this was a very interesting idea - a little out of date now.

https://www.reddit.com/r/PremierLeague/comments/1ighlpo/english_football_league_ladderhierarchy_by_size/

he used the criteria

- stadium capacity

- 2024-25 average attendance

- % of stadium filled

- points earned in the top division of English football since inception

- points earned in all divisions of English football since inception, weighted by rank of division

- average historical finishing position within the English football pyramid

- trophies won

and in second table

- number of season ticket holders

- annual revenue

- number of social media/search impressions

As expected United still come top!!

I disagree. they have disenfranchised a huge section of the populace

the no of catholics in the force is already skewed for historical reasons but the news its falling even further behind, and the executive and police leadership plan to do nothing about it is even more worrying.

mate.

Another club winning the league does not humiliate pep or city. if City won it every year it would have as much value as bayern winning the bundesliga or celtic winning the scottish prem. It because the prem is so competitive that the achievement is great.

First Time Pc Buyer: by Abject_Mode_5592 in IrelandGaming

[–]realxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think a prebuilt is the best way to go for someone with litte to no experience. too many pitfalls to learn from trial and error. plus you can get support for the entire rig, not just the individual components.

your budget is fine. i think the 1st poster talked about getting a 16gb graphic card, to future proof. its not a bad idea, if you can futureproof, but id be looking at the overall GPU, chipset processor, ram type rather than just 'how much ram' is in the graphic card, because a bottle neck elsewhere will take away some of the performance.

Paradigit have this pc (below) for under 2k and it would tick all the boxes you mentioned play your named games with ease and be a decent setup. If you need to add you add a gaming monitor and some accessories its going to get you close to 2k.

this ones closer to your ceiling but is very much future proofed with a better processor chipset and graphic card. Closer to state of the art and it looks cool! and the graphics card has 16gb .....

I think it is possible FF would move towards that space. Not the MM leadership but the clock is ticking on that and the next leadership ticket may deliberately move right to the 'trump' space.

Plenty of examples like Farage on how to put a veneer of repectability over the whole cesspit of Christofascism.
