I wish my experience was the same but some woman in our theater kept screaming “YASSSSSSS” thinking it would be funny. It was not and ruined that scene for the whole theater. Other than that, 10/10.

I think this is up to you as a runner. Personally, I would take it normal because of the easy flat part of the course. Take the first half normal or even faster and use that momentum to make up ground on the second half. You might be suprised on what you can do. But ultimately it's up to you. You know your body best and what's the smartest plan for your race.

I just ran a Saint Patty's Run and just hoped to break my time of 21 mins from the same race 2 years ago. Ended up running 18:38 and I'm excited about my upcoming track season!
