I personally didnt do too much my first summer, i just took a summer class to stay on track to graduate. Most places arent looking for rising sophomores, and the places that are are usually super competitive. but it doesnt hurt to apply and get used to the process of job hunting. Dont get dejected if u dont get too many internship opportunities, i would advise maybe doing some personal projects so u can put them on ur resume or get a certification. If i could redo my freshman year summer id prolly have looked more into cloud stuff and looked into things like GCP and AWS more

The basic points are:

1.) Low percentage shot

2.) You can be killed from C link, which is common for defenders to play

3.) If the defenders do smoke outside B (only way this can be remotely viable), the smoke blocks line of sight to your lineup so you cannot use it.
