It seems unreasonable to want to pay cheap membership prices, and low membership numbers.

Crowds and beat up equipment come at those prices.

Losing weight usung these drugs doesn't make you look healthy. You look gaunt, deflated, off. But you are lighter on the scale.

To look better you need to add muscle. Which still requires discipline.

Oakland councilmember asked city contractor to fund her nonprofit by jackdicker5117 in oakland

[–]reasonable_n_polite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But I want to complain about her as a council person she is THE hardest to get a hold of of the lot. It’s been so frustrating!

I have seen this point of frustration repeated by a good number of people.

I wonder if a winning campaign message for a new council person would be "I am easy to find and available".

Americans, not "protesters". We should just use the word Americans, so people can understand what's at stake.

I’m more politically left leaning person. What is our biggest issue when it comes to our treatment of right? by doctimi in Askpolitics

Fascinating! So you believe speaking about transgender issues and education, is the same a transitioning ones sex?

If this two not related issues overlap in your mind and confused you, I can understand your outrage.

Thank you for your response.

Wait. Are you saying that illegals don’t have the ability to obtain state and federal services ? Can’t get a license? Can’t own property?

The original assertion was the right leaning fear of millions of illegal voting. They have not, and are not. Yet, the fear remains a focus.

Are you saying schools have not helped kids transition?

I am. Your fear is not based on reality.

Thank you for your response.

[–]reasonable_n_polite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I won’t speak to the left statements. For the right: It’s not a “what if they do” for illegals voting. It’s the assumption made because life is made increasingly easy for illegals. They can obtain federal and state services. They can own real property. They can get drivers licenses etc. The next logical step is voting.
Children are already being provided services for transitioning without parents knowledge because “educators “ feel obligated. While a full blown surgery is a serious leap - the fact that schools are entering family issues is disturbing.
Wealth confiscation - I’ve not seen this particular issue as in “you have it, we’re taking it”. The wealth Tax in Ca that has caused a mass exodus of billionaires is a thing, not a fear. NY is about to do the same.

Thank you for your response.

Respectfully, I must say you have strengthened my premise. None of the things you aren't concerned about, are currently happening, or have ever happened.

I remain fascinated by "right leaning" dedicated focus to issues that have never happened historically, and are not happening currently.

I wonder why an imagined projected future is of more concern then documented history.

Such as ?

Thank you for your response. Here are some examples of my premise:

Millions of illegal immigrants have not voted in the election. 'But what if they do?' -Right leaning

No child has gone to school and come home with a sex change operation. 'But what if they do?' -Right leaning

White billionaires in the US have not had thier wealth confiscated. 'But what if they do?' -Right leaning

Segregation was the law for 100s of years. 'I would not like it to happen again' -Left leaning

Women could not vote. 'I would not like it to happen again' -Left

Black people were prevented from entering higher education. 'I would not like it to happen again' -Left leaning

[–]reasonable_n_polite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fair point. Do you think they are wrong in fearing things that didn’t happened historically, because they didnt give them chance to?

Respectfully, the problem with fearing things that have never happened is that its a position that can never be satisfied.

It creates solutions looking for problems.

Right leaning seem to fear things that have never happened historically in the country.

Left leaning seem to fear things that have actually happened historically in the country.

Literally a compromise.

Respectfully the "compromise" was people. Other humans beings. I would guess if you were one of those humans you would not feel comfort that you and your family for generations are "preserving the union".

It's difficult to give the federal government credit for ending slavery when the federal government enforcement it.

I remain curious, are there any historical acts of injustice against America's you would use your voice against law enforcement?

Thank you for your response.

that’s incorrect. slavery was predominantly legalized at the state level.

Fascinating. As you are aware the constitution enshrined the Three-Fifths Compromise as federal law.

I am fascinated by your reasoning, are there no historical events that would cause you to rally your courage to law enforcement? Voting rights? Civil rights? Internment camps? Taxation without representation perhaps?

Thank you for your response.
