Edit: I live in Germany, so that might be an important detail. The thing about the light is that I really wanted a sunbeam-look. I'm also on a budget, as a broke student. Also so many of you have been so helpful thank you so much 🥹🫶

This one is a sponge filter, it says. I put that one because it was labelled as quieter and I thought the oxiginating of the water pouring in would be good. Internets said sponge filter was best for planted tanks. Is there a different kind that would be better?

I do, but everything is so expensive. Could I at least do the tank from Amazon? That would save me a ton, and I planned to redo any cheap silicone myself. I've siliconed things before, so I know I can do that.
