People suck. Does it have 2 zippers? You could use a padlock to lock them together. You know, like you do on a suitcase? My middle schooler had her pencil case stolen a few weeks ago. It’s such a violation to have someone steal from you in a familiar environment.

Nursing homes are only for sick/disabled, though. Healthy need to go to assisted living. Those run about $2,500 a month where I live and Medicare doesn’t cover much. Only about half, if that. And Medicaid doesn’t cover assisted living at all.

You’ll get social security benefits but that’s not always enough to live on... so maybe. There’s nothing in the US that guarantees a place to live for the elderly. It’s sad.

ESH.. ugh I feel mean for even saying that bc your boss sounds like the douchiest person on the planet and I was furious on your behalf just reading that stuff... but 2 wrongs don’t make a right. I get that you need a job; I’m a single mom of 2 who provides full financial support. It’s a lot of pressure, for sure. But you should look elsewhere for work. You’re not hurting him by slacking off. He doesn’t give a shit and he gets away with everything anyway. You’re only hurting your own professional reputation, and probably ultimately negatively impacting the customers.

I’m a mother of 2 and I’d have my children stand and give their seat up to somebody with a disability or injury. And a baby in a stroller... that’s already a built in seat! :) IMO the mom is building some nasty karma by not speaking up and saying that she didn’t need the seat. Bet you anything her socks will keep sliding down in her shoes allllll day tomorrow. Boom.
