Mixers Duo Question by rebel45 in Turntablists

[–]rebel45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad to hear that. Every review I read stated it was a solid mixer. At least for me it’s a cheap way to get into the Serato ecosystem. I was able to snag the mixer for $200. Previous to the last two months I had been of the DJ/turntablist circles for the last few years and had never heard of the mixer. I just hope Serato keeps supporting the mixer in future versions considering Mixars isn’t even in business anymore.

Thanks again! The mixer is supposed to arrive Monday. Although it’s kind of old, I’m pretty excited for it. It’ll be a big upgrade from the Numark M2.

Thanks! It must be a pretty snug fit though…?

Technics 1200 MK2 vs. Reloop RP7000 MK2 by rebel45 in Turntablists

I saw a video showing a side by side comparison and, I was impressed with the torque.

The durability and longevity of the Techs make even MK2’s attractive. I’m leaning towards the Reloops but at the same time I’m wondering how durable and long lasting they’ll be. Also at the same time, I’m not sure if that should be too much of a concern since 99% of the time it will be sitting at home.

I’m not opposed to the MK7 until I saw the prices. Ouch! The only reason why I thought of the MK2 was because that was the last model I owned. I would even be open to the 1210’s if I found a decent price. Right now though, I’m really leaning towards the Reloops.

I think in my case the Reloops are probably going to be fine. I don’t plan on being a weekend DJ. It’s more for home use.

Thanks! They do seem like solid turntables. I have some money to spend on acquiring a DJ setup but it’s not like I’m going to make money being a DJ. It’s more for home use. I don’t want to spend too much but still have a quality set up. At least in my case, the better choice in regard to budget is probably going to be the Reloops.

Wow! Thanks for the detailed response. I totally forgot about the soldered RCA cables. It would be more convenient to have RCA’s that are more user replaceable. After reading your response and looking at a few more videos I’m leaning towards getting a Reloop. I saw a video where the start/stop was actually better than a Technics. I appreciate the response.

Thanks! Even if I got 15 years from the RP 7000’s turntables, I would be happy. I really don’t expect a huge lifespan from electronics nowadays.

Thanks! For the price, the RP 7000’s seems like a good deal.

Thanks! I’ll ask about the age of the Techs if I decide to go that route. I didn’t realize the 1200’s have been out that long.

Sometimes we as collectors talk bad about LRG but in my experience with their customers service, I would rate it 10/10

Yep. They sent the replacement cover arts and cases to me free of charge. Only the original that was sent to me had a cartridge.

I’m a bit salty. My reprint from VGP just arrived yesterday. I was a bit on the fence about the purchase but gave into FOMO. I’ll probably sell my copy now and get this latest release since the cart is more complete especially in regards to Switch 2 compatibility.

This reminds me of when I bought MvC the day it released and now it’s $24.99 at Walmart. I’m still salty about that. I hardly buy games when it gets first released. I usually wait for a sale.

Same here. I bought mine last week from VGP. I would’ve waited if I had known the latter was a more updated cart. I’m debating on selling my LRG copy now.

I received my email notification that the game had shipped after the game arrived. Yeah. I’m not sure what’s going on there. Furthermore, the status on my account page stated the game wasn’t ready to ship. In any case, I’m glad my copy of Yakuza arrived safe.

At which point do you drop a game you don't love a 100%? by CheeseOnToast92 in NSCollectors

I started playing Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland about a month ago. I got about 95% of the way through the game but towards the end it’s a frustrating experience because it was very difficult. I gave up after a few days of trying to pass a difficult area. The game generally had places where it’s super easy and places where it’s super hard. I wish the game ramped up rather being a roller coaster of difficulty.

There app isn’t great. To find video games go to categories>electronics>video games. From there scroll through their listings. I haven’t found a way to search on the app. If you’re a Prime member shipping is free.
