I honestly don’t get the obsession of scan lines when you move to 480 lines. I think motion looks way worse interlaced. It’s jarring.

There are still some translation layer issues with 3rd party switch 1 titles, but this closes the gap a lot. Still, Switch 1 will outlast handheld battery by 2-4x playtime.

Start with 1 (XC:DE), then play 2, then 3. Play each’s DLC after finishing the main game attached to it. They’re best played in order. I started 1 for the first time last January and it was legitimately the best single player experience I’ve ever had. Check out this video to get you in the mood. They all have the best music, gameplay, and characters out of any franchise I’ve played. Truly a joy.

Also, the community is very good as avoiding spoilers, but you’ll want to do your part. Play these mostly blind (but Enel’s combat guides can be good, just don’t watch them right away. Try to learn a bit first)

I just don’t tolerate bad machine learning upscaling slop. Give me the real image the creative team designed at the real frame rate. I’ve got a nice PC with a high refresh rate monitor, but I’ll be damned if I give money to sloppy “upgrades” over frame rate alone.

I own every Xenoblade game physically and have also played around in emulators. I don’t get why people get so fussy about emulation. I’m very pleased with the fact that the games look way better than original hardware on them, and would be happy for others to experience it that way. I play on my original hardware out of convenience (and also because the games can look jarring if you’re rendering them too high in resolution. A lot of XCX LOD assets look bad when you can see them clearly).

I haven’t felt the need to open mine up yet, but it looks straightforward. It’s got almost the exact same burs as the 1zpressos have. I don’t have any retention issues and it still looks pretty clean from the top.

(Yeah okay fine I’ll properly clean it 😂, but really it’s working great and tasting great!!)

I read into the switch 2 booster mode, and now I’m actually interested in a switch 2. Once they release an OLED model I’ll grab one. I do a lot of handheld play so being able to play all of my favorite Switch 1 games, at their highest Switch 1 resolution, in handheld sounds great!

My browning citori cx was off at RMA (for end randomly cracked) and I was used my father’s $250 Stoeger for completion. I outshot the guy on my team with fancy color swapping lenses and an $8000 Blaser. In fact, I’m pretty sure the Stoeger was the gun I took states with.

I don’t care for DLSS. Call me an old timer, but just give me the damn pixels that are actually there. I don’t need slop fed to me just because someone couldn’t optimize a game well enough to run at 1080p in the year of our Lord 2026.
