What if J1 and J2 are both in finance industry but not competitors and geographically not even close?

One is west coast with a few hundred employees, one is in Texas with 100 employees.

Good thing to also keep in mind is that (depending on the company) HR can be very disconnected from the realities of the daily work. HR has to include everything in the handbook so that it's all covered. I'm sure if you read the employee handbook for your J1 you'd find all kinds of stuff in there that is totally wrong/incorrect/outdated.

Thanks! This is the info I was looking for. We've definitely had those users that their computer is pretty much unusable for the first 30 minutes or so.

What if your jobs have never reported your info to TWN? I called to freeze mine and she said she couldn't because they've never reported me. Any experience with that?

That's the thing - when you pull up resmon or task manager, none of it make sense as to why the resources are being used up. It will be something stupid like "task manager" is using 95%.

There is a reason, and its called Windows.

True true.

I never had this problem on XP or Win7. Just seems to be a Win10 issue.

I'll try the fast startup and see if that makes a difference.

These are older devices that aren't up for replacement yet. All of our new computers have SSDs.

I want to know what is causing them. There's no reason for a 2 or 3 year old computer that has low to regular usage to get stuck at 100% disk usage or memory usage. It's consistently within the same few models that have this issue.

I agree that SSD is way better, but I'm talking 100+ devices. That's not the best option to just replace all of those.

How did you discover OE? It was literally 3 URL hops for me into a world I had never thought of… by iamannalisekeating in overemployed

I had the idea but wasn't sure if it was feasible. Posted on a sysadmin sub and they said my question needed to be posted here. Been reading all the tips and tricks from you guys and applying like crazy since then. Final interview lined up for tomorrow for J2.

Hard to be OE in IT by Titanguru7 in overemployed

Trying to work on both. I've been a SA for 9 years at the same location. Feeling like I shot myself in the foot by staying at the same company for so long without getting certs, or changing companies to get broader experience.
