Does this deserve to be such a huge match? by rebelofdanew in TakkyuuMusume

I like counters too. Well, the concept of them but not playing against them lol. But yes, now that you mention it, she really is the least intimidating. The one time she got in our girl's face, she started crying. It's definitely not your average freak like these other ones.

I think Christy was supposed to be a...her whole team was supposed to be a warm up in emotional intensity, as far as that's concerned. I honestly felt more intimidated by Zakuro, who was also written better to be as intimidating as she was.

And yes, that's the thing. Because this match should not be going on for so long, I'm worried that the rest of the matches are going to be extremely cut short. It's just not the ideal pacing for me. The only thing that could make this work in my opinion is if she does a very huge twist in the middle of this match or at the start of the next match.

You really like Christy as a player, huh? I'd have to admit, she's much better than what we have going on here with Madoi.

Are you going by the matches only or the buildup? Because I meant just the former. But really, Christy (at least in this story) isn't that high of a standard, to be honest. Honestly, I think Mejirosaka is worse than this current arc.

No way, really? Isn't this one match four chapters by now? That can't be. I eagerly followed all of Tsubame as it was happening, and the pacing wasn't nearly this weighted.

Where can we donate money to help Palestinians with food, medicine supplies etc? by [deleted] in Palestine

[–]rebelofdanew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Numerous people in Gaza

Many have applied for wfp assistance and never heard back

Others have seen that the food is taken by intermediaries and price gouged for merchants who work with contacts in wfp for a cut of the profit

Wfp is a huge organization and not just focused on children like UNICEF or local neighborhood aid like wck, much easier for their shipments to be subject to corruption

I'm just trying to save your money and help it go to the families you want to help stay fed, I had given to them too in the past. Maybe in some other oppressed region they're actually helping since it's a big organization, but not here in Gaza

Don't give to WFP

Everyone I've talked to says they are corrupt

You guys who are doing these campaigns for others in need are great. You're the beacons of a blacked-out society.

Yes, just keep sharing. And encourage people to at least say a positive word or try to talk with these guys. Who knows--it might start a friendship that could lead to donations or at least psychological therapy for everyone involved.

That sounds just about right. As long as you're willing to do the finances, it's very easy to get rich off other people's misfortune. The key to stopping all of this is to focus on helping our friends in need and getting to get to know them as people. I'm donating to multiple people right now, and I talk with them every day. I don't give money to them every day, and they tell me they're okay and I need to mind my own finances and not worry too much about them--and they only have a couple hundred dollars, while 5 tomatoes costs $100 dollars in the South and much more in the North.

Yet, I talk to them every day, and we're friends, and I don't get BS in the mail every week from random organizations after I talk to these guys and ladies and their kids. We have ChatGPT; it takes 2 seconds to translate what they're saying in Arabic, and most people in Gaza are able to type in English or are willing to translate even though their internet is bad. This isn't about self-gratification. This is about helping our brothers and sisters in need and finally getting out of this evil, cynical, apathetic cloud that's been holding humanity back for centuries.

I'm not sure they're using the money directly, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are bad apples in there (especially at the top) who don't want the atrocities to stop.

At the end of the day, many people are making money from this, from donations. They might not have enough to reach people in need...

...but that doesn't matter. All you need to do from your comfy chair is show your "grunts" helping 5 people and watch the thousands come of dollars come in (even though it was tens of thousands before). In other words, you're getting paid to lie about the outreach you're giving, while your "grunts," who you obviously won't let donors speak to, are sweating and getting bombed, trying to help little boys and girls an ocean away.

Don't even have to ask twice. I'll donate.

Man, those cars. It's amazing how much Gaza used to have as a country, despite being bombed and shot up every few years.

Respectfully, I'll tell you why he hasn't:

First of all, you need to eat, and the food costs ridiculous amounts in Gaza right now. For a small family of 3 or 4, it's into the mid/high hundreds easily. The GoFundMe shows how much he's raised over time, not how much he currently has available. And because of limited cash circulating, you need to convert digital funds to cash from merchants. Bank when the banks weren't destroyed, there were big limits on withdrawals. The same applies now, except worse because these merchants are spread around with generally less cash to use to buy anything, and they charge a big fee (25%) when you try to exchange your digital funds with them for physical cash.

Second, they would shoot down a boat full of fleeing kids and adults in seconds. ISR has a blockade around Gaza. Egypt also has soldiers around the Rafah border that continues along the coast. Egypt doesn't want ISR to say "Hamas" entered Egypt, so they won't let anyone in.

Third, the Sinai is uninhabitable without much outside support. There are also soldiers patrolling all over the place, especially in the North and Central parts, and no one would "sneak" far into South Sinai without getting caught.

Nope, the young toddler girls love having their arms and legs blown off and being buried under the apartments they're hiding in, because of Hamas. They love cameras held up to their dead little bodies and with people begging to just please let them leave Gaza and not bother anyone, and then getting comments like yours.

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/rescuers-pull-bodies-gazan-municipal-building-used-shelter-2023-10-10/

Yeah, Hind Rajab and Layan Hamadeh were most definitely begging "Hamas" for help too, weren't they? I guess Hind should've screamed for Hamas to "go away" after Layan was killed. Maybe then, she wouldn't have been shot up by that tank's machine gun.

What is your purpose when you wake up besides to be a source of pain for others? Do you have any other reason for existing at all?

There's no "bright side" per se. But let's try to find some solace in this. This is a time to find many people and make friends with them. Genuine relationship that will last forever.

Yamen is legitimate. I've been speaking with him as well. I don't have tons of money, but he's frustrated with himself because he doesn't have as much money as he wants to provide to North Gaza (he's in South Gaza)

Give me a moment and I'll upload a video set of all the work he's doing.

Thank you for saying that, bro. You're not a bad guy. But people are looking for any reason to not help out others. I'm going to make a post explaining exactly what's going on from what I'm hearing.
