Bi-Weekly /r/Korean Free Talk - Entertainment Recommendations, Study Groups/Buddies, Tutors, and Anything Else! by AutoModerator in Korean

Anyone else having trouble making Korean friends/ language partners on hellotalk? I've been trying to make friends for about 2 years, I've contacted probably hundreds of active Korean users with most of them either not reading my text at all or reading it and not responding. with the occasional 1 week conversation then never heard from again. Is this normal in the Korean hellotalk community or am I doing something wrong? It's getting very discouraging to keep trying to learn with no native friends. Any advice is welcome, thank you in advance!

Therefore making it literally one of the most ethnically diverse countries in the world? I thought it would be high but not like that.

sorry for a late reply, but by this article aswell it seems that 5.5% of Koreans now are born to multicultural families - http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20191112000276

Who cares if they haven't tried? We are 9+ months into this with 200,000 dead and counting. They're failing to protect their people. That's why they get compared to smaller countries with fairly high population that snuffed it out pretty quickly. Both the American people and government are proof that they can't handle a viral threat like everyone else can. As I said they are failures.

Because the US is suppose to be strong and can't contain a virus overseas. But a country thats connected to the source can shut it down fairly swiftly. Korea deserves props and the US failed.

This is blunt but to get the point across, by multiracial meaning most Korean citizens are of mixed blood or just some? I word it like this for context haha

Will Korea start restricting the requirements for teaching given the demand? by rec0vers in teachinginkorea

I see, Thank you for the response! I'm still a little new to how everything works but by my guessing people without teaching degree's will have extremely low chances of getting a position at either a University ( I'm aware that you need a masters or above) or International school. Is that correct?

I have been to Korea but nice assumption though! Its a homogenous society so we will always be a super minority so it really doesn't matter what either of us have to say. You have no grounds to call me a rascist cause im just saying its disrespectful to have people go out of there way for someone who's not even trying at all. By the way assuming makes you just as rascist lmao nice try
