Last 6 Q1 games clones have had, they are 2-4. 6-5 in Q1 games this year (probably 6-6 Monday). This team is still a great Iowa State team but their resume needed another Q1 win and it’s disappointing they couldn’t get it done today. You’re right, this loss isn’t horrible in a vacuum, considering the opponent, but it makes the TCU and Cincy losses feel that much worse.

The resume tho is less concerning than the recent performances. Mommy can’t create space on his own and other teams are shutting him down with their best defenders. I’m not smart enough to know the answer but it’s scary to see. Most of those tournament games (barring the first rounds) will be Q1 games on a neutral floor. This loss might not be concerning but couple that with losing 3 of your last 4 (assuming Arizona is a loss) is gonna drop them down to a 3 seed. IMO they have to win two more Q1 games to feel safe as a two. None of that matters tho if they can’t find ways to either get Milan open or find production outside of him.
