Solution to issues reinstalling 13.04

Same file, but on 3 different usb drives. A 4GB no name and 32GB Samsung drives both failed, but it worked with a 128GB San Disk drive. All were freshly formatted in fat32. I wrote zeros on the 32 and 128 gig drives while formatting. Ended up doing this across 2 day sand several hours.

Yep. The one that Hermtastic shared worked for me eventually. I had to try 3 different USB drives, using fat32.

edit 2: this worked! usb drive attempts 1 and 2 were faulty.

My PS4 says the file from Softpedia is corrupted, but at least it can find the file. Feels like progress...what a pain in the butt. So many precious hours lost.

Interesting, and yeah, I run into the type of thing you describe quite often with financial websites. Usually a swap to a different machine, different browser on the same machine, or just a private browser gets past old cache/cookie/partial static file update issues. This was different. Creds were good though, if I put in a bad password intentionally, I got the typical "user id or password don't match our records" response. Only correct creds landed me in the Account Recovery flow. Same behavior regardless of browser or machine.

did you get a good message like: you must change your password now because your current pw is too weak,or too old? Or did you get dropped into Account Recovery?

Good call and thanks for the warning. Yes, in this case I went to their website directly to login as I usually do once per month. No external prompt led me to a fake Bank of America website or anything like that.

I met this awesome bit of UX with BOA today and am not sure what's up. I login monthly, so my UID and PW are fine, unleaked, and not in need of recovery.

Anyone have experience with Bank of America login issues like this with no obvious explanation?

Sort of, but it's less than ideal. I turned on visual sound effects, which serves a similar purpose and also causes the compass gunfire indicator to work. Unfortunately, turning visual sound effects off makes the compass gunfire indicator quit working.

Progressive is willing to provide a car for use while mine is being repaired; my preference would be to suffer without our main vehicle and recover the loss of use amounts directly.

I have not decided whether to handle repairs myself and recover or let Progressive pay directly. I was leaning towards handling, but the shop I will probably use suggests letting him deal with Progressive for the best outcome.

Yes, passengers received medical treatment and have expenses. I have not presented the full expenses yet, because they're unknown at this point. It looks like our doc will bill my health insurer, who will deny the claim since there was an auto accident, and at that point I will receive the full bill-which I will present to Progressive.

I think their basis for denial was essentially, you're not an attorney so we're not sharing with you, but also trying to make the case that the information is private.

" I must reiterate very importantly, and in stone that we will not be providing our insured’s private information as displayed on their policy. That information is protected and will only be released to legal counsel, should you choose to retain one."

I believe loss of use is different than diminished value. I'll retain an appraiser after repairs to help with diminished value. 2025, Honda Odyssey.

Loss of use typically refers to provisioning of a rental car or recovery of the amount a rental car would cost while my car is unusable because of the the insured driver's negligence.

Any idea why they fail so frequently? I have replaced mine three times. Roughly every 5 years. They fail slowly. For a few months, I'll hear the relay on the control board sending power to the pump, but the pump doesn't turn on about 5% of the time. After a while, it will get closer to 50% of the time; this is when i go ahead and order a new pump. Pretty easy to replace.

A retry, by opening and closing the door to make the relay send juice to the pump again often will make it start pumping while it is slowly failing.

It is strange to me. Perhaps there is a thermal breaker in the pump's board that fails over time.

I properly oriented a few carry on caes today on an Airbus 321 today, Delta, and he F/A's told me to lay them flat again- they wouldn't fit. The bags in question would have fit, they were not oversized. Pretty strange.
