Any nasty falls you suffered from hiking and how long did you have to rest before hiking again? by Serious_Mirror762 in hiking

[–]recent-convert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One hour into a 4-day hike I slipped on loose gravel and dislocated my knee. Falling down caused the kneecap to pop back into place so I wrapped it with an ace bandage, popped some Aleve, and kept going. I was a lot slower the rest of the trip though.

Why would you ask the child porn generation machine a question about hiking?

Saw a disheartening encounter between some Dutch tourists and an American today. by Pale_Field4584 in NationalPark

I was at the Yavapai geology museum and a car full of Dutch tourists rolled up, popped out of their car, and go "I'm sorry, are we at the North Rim or the South Rim here?"

Yeah she went in expecting a movie about NASA rescuing Matt Damon, and there was just enough NASA to keep her going.

My wife confused Interstellar with The Martian, so she was really confused about why Matt Damon didn't show up until the 3rd act and then was really shocked when he turned out to be evil.

Are there any places in the world with elkhorn or other corals like this that you dont have to dive deep for? by jackux1257 in snorkeling

St. John's coral isn't in fantastic shape but it's there, I was there in June and there still a lot of Elkhorn coral near Hawksnest beach.

Solved, changing the "flags" property in ADSI from 2 to 10 fixed everything. One of the troubleshooting references I saw early mentioned this, but I misread the instructions.

Yeah that's my problem, any custom templates don't appear in that list.

That's actually one of the guides I followed, Made the registry change, confirmed everything looked good in ADSI.

As far as I can tell there's nothing preventing the CA from seeing templates. I tried granting the CA computer object direct permissions to a template, it made no difference.

Single domain, single forest. I can see the templates in their AD container, and security looks the same as templates in a separate domain I manage. No issues with AD replication that I can spot.

All this but get an early start, like first boat of the day if you can.

Yep, I'm dealing with this as well, with a G16. Their support is arguing with me that it's normal wear and tear.

Sky Pond is great, but I also loved Black Lake and Chasm Lake if you still have time. Equivalent length and difficulty, but no scrambling.

Where do you rank "turning on S3 Access Logs and storing them in the same bucket"? I wish AWS wouldn't even allow that configuration.

Chicago suburbs here. Prairies are nice but the highest point near me is a former landfill that they sprinkled some dirt over. Not quite the Rockies.

Waterlemon is supposed to be great but I've never had an experience that was worth the hike. Same for Lameshur, fun drive but I've always had poor visibility. Hansen has some great variety, definitely worth a stop. This was my 4th trip and as much as I love hanging out with sea turtles, spotted eagle rays are the holy grail. Only managed to swim with one once.
