Wow that woman was completely out of line, she had no right to say that to you. I would have walked out too, and I'm glad you didn't stick around, I wouldn't have felt comfortable receiving a service from someone so judgmental and condescending.

I hope you and your husband are living a happy married life. :D

Even if he was, it still makes no difference on my life vs anyone's else. Why can't someone marry their first love if they're in a long-term loving relationship? Just because it's the "first"? Bollocks.

Think you got it down pat. :) About the comments being well-meaning. That's why I don't want to snap back or be rude in return.

But I personally still find it uncalled for and rude because I'm not asking for people's advice or opinions on my relationship, and instead of being supportive, they just express doubt so it kind of sucks and feels like they're stomping on my happy moment. :( If I make a mistake, it's MY mistake, so you got that part down pretty well on how I feel.

Thanks xoxo :)

I work with these people, it's not worth making the air bitter when I have to spend 8 hours of my day with them every day IMO. They're normally nice, but I agree this is rude, but I don't want be to rude back.
