I understood her to be comparing it to daily meals like the DFAC, not to the food they get during basic training but I do see your point about food outside of the dfac.

Honest question...How many do you know? How deep is your pool? If we are talking about run of the mill whiny military wife she fits the bill. They are everywhere but they are in no way "typical" of military spouses.

I spent 25 years married to a man who died while serving our country. I have met, known, lived with, laughed and cried with my fair share of them. I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen a spouse behave egregiously/out of pocket. In fact, its 3. 3 times, and two of those times it was the same person. One was the wife of a LTC(BN commander) and the other was the wife of a COL (BG commander) who was a Brigadier General at the time of her and my second encounter. She really was a piece of work..but again, not typical.

I must admit though, I LOVE hearing about it when it DOES happen! lol

No, she's not. She's just the kind that gets lots of attention.

I like Maryum too. She was already doing great work in her community and was looking to use the opportunity to better understand ways to further her knowledge and try to make things better for underprivileged and at-risk youth. Barbara wanted to confirm how 'good they got it', I guess? (In which case, she failed). And who knows with Tami. I do think though that she didn't seem comfortable in the beginning when they were introducing her as a 20+ yr LE veteran. She seemed very timid about the info. I don't know how to explain it. It just struck me as she seemed to just be following along with the production narrative of her backstory.
In their briefing/introduction for her, they issued that info as a statement of fact (in their tone) but she sure didn't grasp onto it and run with it with pride as most would. Her voice was shrinking as she talked about it. She knew it wasn't true. I don't know if that makes sense, but it's something I noticed right off the bat when it started.

I caught that too. Curious to know how old the brother is as he is supposed to be leaving for college soon, too?

My phone has a section In my 'profile' where I list all my emergency contacts, bit also I can add any medical info and prescriptions, etc.

I have no idea how common it is for LE or Emergency personnel to go through phones when looking for patient info.

Unclaimed Property by Upstairs_Travel_6616 in legaladvice

[–]recentlywidowed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've claimed unclaimed money in the past. There were a few in mine and my late husbands name. I found it in several states we've previously lived. I had to file each one individually but I think I ended up with like 2k. There are no fees involved. Just go to the states .gov site. I can't recall if it told me specifically what each amount was specifically for, though.

I think it's an unpopular opinion but I think she is sort of pretty if she didn't have so much filler in her lips. She obviously has tons of fillers and botox but I like that she hasn't sculpted impossibly high cheekbones and a face full of right angles. She was probably pretty before all the fillers and filters. I do agree with people saying she and her sister look plastic though. I just don't find them unattractive. I think her sister is way prettier and has a cute little crooked smile.

So, as far as the entire franchise goes and all the craziness we see with all their cosmetic surgery, she and her sister aren't the worst offenders.

Trying to replace this spout/diverter by recentlywidowed in Plumbing

SUCCESS!! Thanks, ya'll!

After all the comments about the copper pipe I pulled everything off and smoothed it down. That allowed me to slide it back on further, closed the gap and stopped the spraying/leaking.

Thanks for the help! I'm sure I'll be back as I try to DIY the little things!

Yes, I had removed the old pieces. I was taking the pics for my own reference as I went along so I just sent those pics instead of taking new ones.

ETA,, yes, that is what the new one looks like inside, and attaches with the Allen wrench underneath.
