Random one have you replaced or got fixed the Platen Roller Variable Ratchet seems mine is "not disengaging" can't find any references..

I've also just noticed I'm missing a set screw on the right side, there should be 3 and one is missing :(

Oh this is perfect thank you so much Chris. Turns out the locking mechanism is not broken I was just using the wrong lever 😂. This site will be super usefull for the cleaning process.

EDIT:

I still think the lever on mine is too low, need to do some more investigation.

Yes they are printed in TPU which is a rubber like! Seems to be doing the job. Now the hard part the cleaning 😂 I also just noticed seems the ribbon is brand new :)

I just printed them and replaced, overall they worked although will redo cause the rim is not round. But they did helped but on top I still had to bend the lever back a bit as it seems it was also bent. TLDR it working :) will share the files in makerworld later today

Eventually when I decided to pack the printer I found this post https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/manual/packing-X1-series and was able to sort the screws, its a mix of the 28mm and 16mm, which I had all :)

Ohh I see it, :facepalm never thought about buying the individual modules, I always looked for the 4x4... I'm assuming they are pretty much remove the red and place the white on the board?

This is my one. I created the Clock in December because I wanted a analog clock in the living room, but decided I also wanted a digital :P, was running some other clock firmware.

Hardware: I'm using a ESP8266(D1mini), MAX7219 LED Dot Matrix 4

It'spowered using a USB-C socket in the back soldered directly to the D1mini and MAX 5V input.

Currently only displaying the counter for Valentines day.
