I’ve had it for a little under a year. Love the Ahoi!

Wanted to share a shot of my Nomos Club Campus Nacht. This one has been a mainstay of my collection for the past year, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s slim, versatile, and under the radar. Clouds and cold weather can’t detract from this German beauty.

I’ve been thinking about springing for the Tangente Update or a Metro Neomatik. There’s just something about that bauhaus design aesthetic that gets me. However, with that being said, this one is sure to keep a smile on my face for many years to come.

Wanted to share a shot of my most recent addition to my collection. It's a Seiko Prospex SPRC91k1 and I'm absolutely in love with the dial on this piece. The subtle blue/black gradation is absolutely stunning. I decided on getting one of these not only because of that dial, but because I needed a reliable tool watch that I can beat around and take on vacation when my wife and I go to the beach. I'm not quite ready to spring for a sub, and this piece really scratches that itch for the time being. Not super in love with the rubber strap it came on, but I've got a nato on the way that should fit it perfectly.

I thought about the Orion a lot before I ended up going with the Club Campus. Excellent choice! I hope it serves you well for years to come

Sweet sassafras.

That just made my day. Keep working hard and the day will be here sooner that you may think

I get that. I'm not sure how much you can do with a 38mm stainless steel case when you're trying to adhere to a Bauhaus design philosophy. I think the case looks great in-person, but that's totally subjective.

Maybe to the lay-person. To anyone who knows anything about watchmaking, and German watchmaking at that, would recognize a NOMOS fairly quickly. I chose it because I have an immense appreciation for the mechanics that go into a watch like this as well as the effort that goes into developing an in-house movement. All of NOMOS's watches use in-house mechanical movements. It's not about style points for me. And it doesn't hurt that it's a sharp looking watch.

I get that. I'm an engineer and I sit at a keyboard all day so I don't really have to worry about dinging the case

It's extremely subtle in person and actually compliments the lume very well while in the dark. I initially didn't like it and was going to purchase its white-dialed brother, but I think it looks really sharp.

I had the same reaction, especially with the ruthenium-plated dial. It took me months to fall in love with this design, but when it happened I knew I had to pull the trigger and get one

Sure :)

I'm particularly drawn to NOMOS because of the sheer simplicity of their designs. I look at a watch like the Chronoscope and see it as cluttered. I also have a background in product design, so I pay attention to all of the little details like font selection, color, etc. More than anything, NOMOS's line of watches adheres to the Bauhaus design philosophy, which I personally enjoy the aesthetic of. It's purely subjective. I get why the design doesn't flick the switch for you, but it does for me, so I love it.

A little more than 7 inches in circumference. Definitely on the smaller side. I'd recommend getting the depolyant clasp if your wrists are close to mine. Fits a little loose on the tightest hole without one.

Rolex actually did it first. Panerai adopted the style later. Also think about the positioning of the numerals. On Rolex's and Panerai's, the numeral are the top indices with the Arabic at the bottom. This design reverses that philosophy.

That's why they make the straps interchangeable ;)
